ICS's Model 9099 Ethernet to Modbus RTU Interface is a small Minibox™ Ethernet Modbus Converter that converts Modbus TCP/IP, VXI-11 and Raw Socket to control Modbus RTU Slave Devices. The Model 9099 does not require special drivers and is compatible with the following systems: LINUX, UNIX, SunOS, MAC OS X, HP-UX, IBM-AIX, Windows 2K or later and Modbus capable PLCs. ICS's 9099 uses VXI-11 RPC calls for secure communication with virtually any computer. Easily programmed on a PC by making VISA calls or on a MAC/UNIX/LINUX computer with RPC calls. An innovative technique for expanding the number of channels per fiber involves an optical device, called an optical interleaver. For example, in most DWDM equipment, the standard channel spacing is 100 GHz. But spacing the signal-carrying frequencies every 50 or even 25 GHz can double or even quadruple the number of channels per fiber. This job is accomplished by an optical interleaver. Such a device takes two multiplexed signals with 100-GHz spacing and interleaves them, creating a DWDM signal with channels spaced 50 GHz apart. The process can be repeated, creating even denser composite signals with 25-GHz or 12.5-GHz spacing. The signals at the receiving end are recovered with the same devices used as splitters or optical de-interleavers. Thus, devices and/or networks can be upgraded without requiring that all devices be upgraded, or network bandwidth can be increased.

The 500 series dynamometer has a larger big brother – the MD-500-SE XL! The 500-SE is an excellent 2WD performance dynamometer and the XL model expands on these traits by adding in a much wider 98-inch outer track and a HUGE mechanical flywheel to increase the mechanical inertia of the dyno to about 2,000-lbs. This additional inertia helps reduce the duty cycle burden on the eddy current PAU and even allows for pulls to be done in a pinch in inertia-only mode. The XL handles vehicles like diesels and Ford Raptors where the 500 is a bit too narrow for these types of applications. The MD-500 XL’s multiple upgrade paths allows for an AWD upgrade in the future and enables it to accept a second eddy current PAU for increased loading capability. We’ve seen this dyno handle almost 2,000-hp to the wheels on power sweeps so don’t be fooled by the 1,500-hp peak measurement specification. If your tires will hook you can measure as much power as you are laying to the rollers. The large K250 eddy current PAU has plenty of torque for testing and tuning anything from your local diesel pickup crowd and local LS guys to classic carb stuff and front wheel drive cars. When interconnecting traditional time-division-multiplexed (TDM) telephony systems with modern voice-over-internet protocol (VoIP) systems, a VoIP media gateway works by providing protocol conversion (translation) and interoperability between the two network technologies. What is a virtual session border controller or virtualized SBC? Traditionally, a session border controller (SBC) is a device positioned between carrier networks or between an enterprise LAN and a service-provider WAN. In the latter case, the border controller is called an enterprise session border controller or eSBC. Whether it is delivered as a dedicated hardware session border controller or a virtualized network function, (a.k.a. software SBC) the border controller manages call (session) setup and teardown. The SBC also provides network demarcation (demarc), or separation (border) between network domains, as well as other types of management (control) over the data streams that pass between networks. With the growing popularity of software defined networking (SDN) and the burgeoning market development and adoption of network function virtualization (NFV), eSBC functionality is more and more often de-coupled from a dedicated hardware device and delivered as a virtual instance running as a virtual machine (VM) on top of a hypervisor. It is generally not well understood in the market why an eSBC is such a critical network element for a secure and reliable SIP-based enterprise phone system. Flash typically works well for short to mid-range (0-100m), and by capturing the complete scene at once also objects with high relative speeds can be detected properly. Another implementation is to focus on a subset of the FOV, consequentially look at the next subsets, until the complete FOV is covered, called Scanning. Scanning can focus the light on the subset instead of the full FOV, and therefore can do object detection at a longer range compared to Flash.
