Synchros are transformer-type voltage/current transducers that convert a shaft or other rotating device's angular position and/or velocity to a multi-wire AC electrical signal. Both deliver signals proportional to the Sine and/or Cosine of the shaft angle. A Digital-to-Synchro simulator is used to convert digital angle/velocity commands to corresponding Synchro/Resolver AC signals.

FTD
-
MIL-STD-1553 is a military standard published by the United States Department of Defense that defines the mechanical, electrical, and functional characteristics of a serial data bus. It was originally designed for use with military avionics, but has also become commonly used in spacecraft On-Board-Data-Handling (OBDH) subsystems, both military and civil. It features a dual, redundant, balanced-line, physical layer; a (differential) network interface; time division multiplexing; half-duplex command/response protocol; and up to 31 remote terminals (devices).

Intelligent Power Monitor
iPM
-
NAI’s iPM is an Intelligent Power Monitor that provides a precise, instrument grade, digital analysis of input power lines. This advanced, DSP-based unit monitors single-phase, 3-phase 4-wire wye, or 3-phase Delta power lines at various input voltage levels and frequencies. The iPM is equipped with an EIA RS485-compatible serial communications interface that permits additional control functions and readout of diagnostic data, and features a Background Built-in-Test (BIT) that constantly monitors the health of unit hardware and software. This power monitor is designed and qualified to the most stringent performance and environmental requirements, and is ideally suited for rugged defense and industrial applications.

LD5

A linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) is a type of electrical transformer/transducer used for measuring linear displacement (position). A counterpart to this device used for measuring rotary displacement is called a rotary variable differential transformer (RVDT). The RVDT is like an LVDT in that it measures a positional displacement, however, the displacement, which is still a linear proportional function, is based on rotary instead of linear positional movement.

Phase Monitors
-
NAI''s AC- and DC-powered Phase Monitors are used to protect three-phase loads from damage due to phase reversals or phase absence. Contacts may be used to disconnect the load or to operate alarm circuits or both. Upon application of power, the output relay energizes if all phases are connected and the phase sequence is ABC. If any phase becomes disconnected or if the phase rotation is abnormal, the relay immediately de-energizes. These monitors are specifically designed for rugged defense and industrial applications.

Synchro/Resolver Simulator, Programmable
5330A
-
NAI's 5330A Synchro/Resolver Simulator is a rack-mount or bench-top instrument featuring integrated touch-screen controls and input terminals. This model represents a major step forward as it uses digital technology to produce Synchro and Resolver outputs. Improved flexibility is provided by two fully independent outputs that can be used to simulate two separate Synchro or Resolver signals simultaneously, or can be combined to operate as two-speed outputs. The versatility of this device has been substantially increased by incorporating dynamic modes that enable servo systems to be tested under various simulated stringent field conditions.
