The GX5960 digital subsystem represents the highest level of performance available for PXI-based digital instrumentation and features high performance pin electronics and a timing generator / sequencer in a compact, 6U PXI form factor. The GX5960 series consists of the GX5961 clock generator board with 16 driver / sensor channels and the GX5964 driver / sensor board which supports 32 bi-directional I/O channels. Up to 528 digital I/O channels can be supported by the GX5960 digital subsystem. Each digital channel features a wide drive / sense voltage range of -14 V to +26 V (maximum swing of 24 volts) which can be individually programmed for a drive hi, drive lo, sense hi, sense lo, and a load value (with commutation voltage level) – offering the user complete flexibility when creating test programs and fixtures for multiple UUTs. Because the loads in these machines are comparatively small, a cost-effective manufacturing solution is crucial for the market success of straight bevel gears. It’s a different story as far as tractors are concerned: Spiral bevel gears are installed in the rear axles in this case – and the bevel gear set of a tractor’s rear-axle differential must transmit up to 400 kW. In tractors, cylindrical and planetary gears are also used in manual transmissions and counter shaft transmissions as well as planetary gear drives for transmitting power to the enormous drive wheels. To meet the ever increasing data transfer rate in high end applications, such as professional broadcasting transmission or advanced high resolution display, the SD 4.1 specification calls out the maximum performance of 1.56 Gbps at UHS-II full duplex mode per lane or half duplex UHS-II at 3.16 Gbps. In real applications, due to the system overhead and different SD 4.1 device controller designs, the actual measured performance can vary dramatically from system to system. With the newly introduced ADMA 3, the OS driver is now able to issue multiple read or multiple write commands at once, without having to wait for the SD controller to complete one command at a time. Once the SD host controller has collected multiple commands, it will then manage and complete them without intervention from the host software drive. Thus, the UHS-II 1.56 Gbps interface can be more effectively utilized and maximize the system throughput. This feature can be very useful when running multithreaded applications where multiple applications are constantly updating their status or swapping their contents by writing or reading small chunk of data to or from the memory card.
