Airframe Mounted Gearboxes (AMAD)
Airframe mounted accessory drives (AMADs) — Every TRIUMPH Geared Solutions accessory drive is built to the highest standards of precision and reliability. The AMAD provides power for the aircraft’s hydraulic pumps, auxiliary fuel pumps and electrical generators. It also provides engine starting capability by transmitting power from auxiliary power units. Our AMADs incorporate carburized and ground gearing and, if the specification requires, AGMA Class 14 standards. Each drive is designed for high power density to minimize weight. Special features such as self-pressurizing lubrication systems assure proper operation at all altitudes within a given flight envelope. The AMADs also contain a disconnect feature which allows ground crews to disconnect the unit for maintenance and performance of electronic and hydraulic systems checks without the engine running.

DP-VXI-4503 is a 80 channel, one Form C (SPDT) relay switch designed as a C size VXI module. This high density switch module is designed with a register based interface occupying only one VXI slot. This module uses two Form ‘C’ relay switches. Out of the two contacts in each relay, one is used to provide the status of the relay through read back and the other is used for switching purpose.The user can write the command for the selected channels on to the primary latch of the FPGA section. Readback is available to confirm the selected commands. On command, the data from the primary latch is transferred to the secondary latch. The relay driver section provides the necessary drive to switch ON the relays. The buffers in this section drive the relay coils.This module features a back plane trigger for VXI triggered operation. On receipt of the back plane trigger the programmed relays will be energised/de-energised. Alternatively, software trigger can be used.

Test items can be excited in one or more axes to understand and characterize the physics and root causes of BSRs. Real-world, on-road vibration conditions are multi-axis simultaneous – vertical, fore-aft or longitudinal, lateral, roll, pitch, and yaw – 6 degrees of freedom or 6 DOF. Affordability drives decisions to find BSRs by exciting in one or two – fewer than 6 DOF. That has been a driving force for MB – be effective at finding BSRs with a lesser number of shakers (DOFs) and thus reduce the test equipment cost of finding BSRs. Vertical-only can be effective; sequential vertical then fore-aft then lateral is one step closer to real-world; creating vibration in four or five axes of response simultaneously is even closer; and full 6 DOF systems that are quiet come closest to duplicating in the lab the on-road conditions. MB offers all these possibilities to meet trade-offs of budget, test time, road replication, and BSR detection effectiveness.

Rad Hard GaN Drivers
