Linear Actuators
Electrak Pro
-
Thomson introduces our Electrak Pro Series of linear actuators. This family stands alone when it comes to the toughest and most demanding applications. Available in 12 or 24 VDC models with customizable stroke lengths up to 300 mm (12 in), these units can push or pull loads up to 4448 N (1000 lbf) at speeds of 20 mm/s (0.8 in/s) and hold loads up to 9000 N (2000 lbf), or contact our factory for longer strokes or higher loads. When space is scarce, where dust, dirt, and water are abundant and when solid, reliable and maintenance-free operation is a must - Electrak Pro is the answer.

Linear Actuators
Electrak LA14
-
Electrak LA14 is based on the Electrak 10 design, which incorporates a screw drive system for applications requiring maximum load capacity, robust performance, and long life. Its additional benefits offer the a built-in anti rotation mechanism and an aluminium cover tube. The aluminium cover tube has T-slots that can be used for mounting and also accepts magnetic sensor to be fitted along two sides of the tube.

Linear Actuators
Electrak 1
-
The Electrak 1 actuator is completely self-contained and sealed for indoor and outdoor use. Functionally, these models are easily interchanged with comparably sized hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders. Used on intermittent duty applications Electrak 1 actuators provide consistent, repeatable performance in the most rigorous operating conditions including extreme temperatures and humidities.

Linear Actuators
Electrak 205
-
Electrak 205 actuators feature multi-step positioning capability through a 10-turn potentiometer for precise feedback control when used with Thomson actuator control systems. With adjustable integral limit switches, the automatic shut off travel range can be easily adjusted. Fully gasketed housing and motor safety seals protect internal components from harsh industrial environments.

Linear Actuators DPDT Switches
DPDT
-
Most Thomson actuators require at a minimum the use of a double-pole double-throw remote switch. To better assist our customers, we provide two versions of a DPDT switch (with or without enclosure) to work directly with our actuator units. A wiring diagram label and an "OFF" center position are included.

Linear Actuators MCS Controls
MCS
-
For those who need more than pushbutton control, Thomson offers a full line of MCS actuator control units. From simple to complex control, these units offer a variety of features with both DC and AC voltage outputs.

Electrification
-
The trend of using electric linear actuators in machines using motion control is strong and growing. In addition to the benefits of simplicity, cleanliness, safety, space consciousness and cost saving, newer capabilities in controllability, power, shock load dampening and regen have made electrification a no-brainer for designers.

Stepper Motor Linear Actuators
-
Thomson stepper motor linear actuators combine a hybrid stepper motor and a precision lead screw in one compact envelope. Our stepper motor linear actuators are now offered in three basic configurations – rotating screw (MLS), rotating nut (MLN) and actuator (MLA).

Compact Linear Systems
-
Take the guesswork out of specifying multiple components for your linear motion designs. Thomson compact linear systems address the need for thrust and bearing support in a single, small-scale unit for space-conscious applications. Whether you opt for one of our three standard architectures (see below) or work with our engineers on a “from scratch” solution, your application requirements will determine the selection and sizing of your system components.

Precision Linear Actuators
-
High-accuracy, motorized devices that convert rotational motion into linear, straight-line movement (push/pull) for tasks requiring extreme, repeatable accuracy.

Actuators
-
An actuator is a cleaner and more efficient alternative to hydraulic and pneumatic solutions. Electric actuators convert rotary motion of gears and a ball or lead screw into straight, or linear, motion for accurate, repeatable performance of pushing/pulling, raising/lowering, rotating or positioning loads.
