The M8KH009 is an intelligent, double-sized, H009 interface module for the multimode, multiprotocol, EXC-8000 family of carrier boards. The M8KH009 provides a complete solution for developing and testing H009 interfaces and performing system simulation of the H009 bus, according to the standard H009 protocol. Each module of the M8KH009 contains 32K x 16 dualport RAM for Data Blocks, control registers, and Look-up tables. In addition, the module contains another 32K x 16 dual-port RAM for a Concurrent Monitor. All data blocks and control registers are memory mapped, and may be accessed in real-time. Each of the independent, dual-redundant M8KH009 modules may be programmed to operate in one of three modes of operation: Central Control Complex (CCC) mode with Concurrent Peripheral Unit operation (1–16 PUs), Peripheral Unit mode (Multiple – up to 16 PUs) and Bus Monitor mode. DP-VXI-4017 is an 80 Channel Relay Multiplexer constructed using ‘2 Form A’ (DPST) relays. It is a ‘C’ size 1 slot register based VXI module. This 80 Channel Relay Multiplexer module is highly configurable. As an 80 channel multiplexer, one input can be multiplexed to any of the 80 outputs or vice versa. The 80 channel multiplexer is divided into 8 banks of 10 channels each. This combination allows the board to be used as one group of 80x1 or two groups of 40x1 or four groups of 20x1 or eight groups of 10x1 differential multiplexer. The banks are isolated from each other by tree switches. 8 tree switches are used, one tree switch for each bank. A common tree switch is used to group all the eight banks. For short circuit protection resistors are provided for all the common terminals.

The LS-71P PCI D/A Converter (DAC) board provides high speed analog outputs of PCM decommutated data allowing real time data displays using strip chart recorders or similar devices. The LS-71-P board is designed to be used in conjunction with the Lumistar LS-50-P Multifunction PCM Decommutator boards and uses an over-the-top communication bus directly from the decom to the DAC to avoid any glitches in the analog outputs due to PCI bus activity. Direct “mailbox” type access is also provided to allow the user to send information through the PCI bus to the DACs. The DAC board design allows 2 LS-50-D Multifunction decom boards to be used with a single DAC board allowing tagged data from either data stream to be directed to any DAC channel. An optional LS-71-DB Word Selector Daughterboard allows two additional data streams to be monitored with the ability to select channels from 4 data streams to be displayed on any DAC channel. The design incorporates an extremely large memory (more than 200,000 16-bit words) used as a lookup table allowing linear or non-linear EUconversions with constant delay regardless of the number of polynomial coefficients required. Standard product supports a single decom, however, dual decom support is available as an option.
