The ScanTAP-4 and ScanTAP-8 pods can apply test vectors and/or ISP patterns to target boards with a variety of JTAG chain topologies. In the simplest case, the ScanTAP-4 and ScanTAP-8 will provide the interface between the PCI-1149.1/Turbo controller and a target system consisting of a single JTAG Test Access Port (TAP). This would be the case where the target system consists of one JTAG chain and its single associated TAP.

Sensor for Filament Inspection

EVT presents the EyeFI - the sensor for the inspection of filaments. The sensor contains two cameras with an Aptina sensor and S-Mount lenses. The cameras are perpendicular to each other. It is therefore possible to inspect two sides of the filament, which means that the EyeFI can detect if the filament is out-of-roundness. Additionally the errors and defects can be detected. For example the occurring flaws are point-shaped or partly flaked, or point-shaped and transverse, or also looking like a longitudial rib, or only spots in different shapes. The defects can be detected with the EyeFI sensor. The EyeFI contains board cameras with sensors from Aptina, the IoCap and an evaluation processor. The housing is about 14x10x4 cm in size. The IoCap is the image-capture-IO-board, which is designed and developped by EVT.

The board simulates Programmable Peripheral Interface chips (PPI) to provide a computer interface to digital I/O lines. Each PPI supports two 8-bit ports (A, B) and two 4-bit ports (Chi, Clow). Each port can be configured to function as either input or output latches. The GX5960 digital subsystem represents the highest level of performance available for PXI-based digital instrumentation and features high performance pin electronics and a timing generator / sequencer in a compact, 6U PXI form factor. The GX5960 series consists of the GX5961 clock generator board with 16 driver / sensor channels and the GX5964 driver / sensor board which supports 32 bi-directional I/O channels. Up to 528 digital I/O channels can be supported by the GX5960 digital subsystem. Each digital channel features a wide drive / sense voltage range of -14 V to +26 V (maximum swing of 24 volts) which can be individually programmed for a drive hi, drive lo, sense hi, sense lo, and a load value (with commutation voltage level) – offering the user complete flexibility when creating test programs and fixtures for multiple UUTs.
