The AXI DPNA-6G module is the world's first network analyzer in the form factor of the AXIe-1 module, as well as the first Russian device that meets the AXIe-1 standard. In the mode of the network parameters meter, the AXI DPNA-6G module measures the vector values of the network parameters on two ports: transmission coefficients (S12, S21) and reflection (S11, S22). At the same time, all necessary types of calibrations are supported: one- and two-port short-circuit, XX, matched load, transmission normalization. The software supports the import of third party calibration standard parameters. TRICOR’s Hazer Meter and DOI is ideally suited for measuring flat, non-textured high reflectance surfaces. The Model 807A Haze Meter design is in accordance with ASTM E430 and ASTM D5767 (method A) and is used to measure ±3 degrees around the specular lobe centered at 30 degrees in approximately 220 increments. That’s an angular sample size of 1 sample per 1.6 minutes of arc! This allows differentiation between samples with very small differences in reflectance characteristics. Verified replacement for the older Hunter Dorigon II haze meter unit.

A new ultraviolet spectrophotometer system for optical metrology just arrived at NASA Goddard! The VUVAS-10X spectrophotometer works best in the 90 to 160 nanometer wavelength range, also known as deep or vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) region. It uses a windowless hydrogen plasma light source and differential pump section to reach many wavelengths beyond those of conventional deuterium lamps. The source also works with other gases, or gas mixtures, for atomic spectral line emission from about 30 nanometers (double ionized Helium gas) up to the Visible light range. The new spectrophotometer system, McPherson VUVAS-10X, uses a one-meter focal length high-resolution monochromator with the special light source, scintillated detector and Model 121 goniometric sample chamber. The system is ideal for optical transmission, absorbance and specular reflectance at incident angles up to 60 degrees. This McPherson spectrophotometer system will help develop, inspect and qualify optical materials and coatings used for very high altitude and extraterrestrial space flight missions.
