The AWMF-0129 is an active array for 5G wireless applications developed using planar antenna technology resulting in a very low profile, lightweight unit. The surface mount assembled antenna board is based on Anokiwave’s AWMF-0108 Silicon Quad Core IC and demonstrates the performance achievable using low power silicon integration and efficient antenna layout and design. Using the AWMF-0108, the antenna provides +50dBmi output power while consuming just 12W DC power in the RF circuits and has achieved Gb/s data rates in OTA trials. The electronic 2D beam steering is achieved using analog RF beam forming, with independent phase and gain control in both Tx and Rx operating modes. The AWMF-0129 antenna leads the way in showing how 5G coverage can be rolled out by network operators using the mmW bands, with low power footprint and high energy efficiency, while meeting key operating specifications for data rate, latency, coverage, and reliability.

The Durham is a high-performance, highly-mobile and easy to emplace Medium Range Day/Night Wireless Surveillance System using a state of the art day camera and a cooled, highly sensitive 640x480 InSb Focal Plane Array thermal camera with 8X continuous optical zoom. The system is image stabilized and has automatic tracking of targets. Each system consists of a Base Station and one Remote Station which can be emplaced up to 5km away for wireless operation or within 500m for fiber optic operation. A single Base Station can monitor and control up to four (4) Remote Stations. The system is powered by a generator, batteries, solar (supplemental power), or vehicle power. Panasonic Automotive & Industrial Systems has launched this evaluation kit for its Grid-Eye infrared array sensor, which integrates a ”nanopower” Bluetooth Smart module and a microcontroller. The kit is intended for prototyping the Grid-EYE sensor which is a 64 pixel IR camera in a surface mount package measuring 11.6mm x 8mm x 4.3mm, which integrates the MEMS sensor, lens and I2C interface. The integrated Bluetooth module in the evaluation kit, the PAN1740, draws 4.9mA in transmit or receive operating modes, which means it can be powered by coin cell batteries. The IR sensor has 64 thermopile elements in an 8×8 grid format that detect absolute surface temperature without any contact.
