The GX7100e Series are 14-slot combination PXIe chassis that accommodate a 3U PXIe embedded controller or a MXI express controller as well as 3U & 6U PXI / PXIe insruments in 4U of rack space. The GX7100e’s unique format includes seven 6U slots and seven 3U slots arranged horizontally to reduce the overall size of the chassis, providing the versatility and high-density necessary to address many PXI / PXIe applications and requirements. The backplane architecture supports Gen 2, 4x4 PCI Express bus signaling and the use of both x1 or x4 system controllers. The amount of information processed and time constraints required the creation of a multi-level distributed image processing system based on National Instruments Compact Vision System controllers, industrial computers and workstations. During the control process, the wheel is watered with a magnetic-luminescent emulsion, magnetized and exposed to ultraviolet radiation. As a result, the emulsion deposited on the defects glows in the visible range (yellow-green light). Eleven FireWire (IEEE 1394) color cameras with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 are used to scan the wheel surface. In one iteration, they completely cover a 20-degree sector of the wheel.

HXV products are high voltage systems intened for Hi-pot / IR or High voltage switching. They can be configured to drive from 32 to 128 switch points per chassis and can be configured as multiplexer (1xN) or Matrix (NxM) configurations. Stand HXV chassis are used for signals up to 5000 VAC rms ( 7400 V peak ) and can carry up to 5 amps of current. Custom systems can be built up to 25KV. Most of the modules used in these systems are 1xN multiplexers or 2x4 matrix modules that can be combined to form larger multiplexers or matrices. Connector options for standard HXV include 5 way banaba jacks / binding posts, Shrouded Banana Jacks or SHV ( High voltage BNC) if you need to use a high voltage cable with a grounded shield for safety applications. Control options include 10/100BaseT Ethernet LAN, RS232, GPIB or optional manual control. Standard HXV systems use high voltage reed relays. Custom HXV systems up to 25KV use application specific relays and connectors from a variety of vendors based on required specifications.
