The PXIe-1486 combines the Texas Instruments Flat Panel Display Link™ (FPD-Link™) interface with the Xilinx FPGA for high-throughput vision and imaging applications. This module provides a high-speed digital interface for using and testing modern advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous drive (AD) camera sensors and electronic control units (ECUs). Additionally, the PXIe-1486 makes use of a combination of FPD-Link™ serializers and deserializers with a Xilinx FPGA to provide a high-throughput and customizable FPD-Link™ interface on PXI. The included FlexRIO driver, with LabVIEW FPGA examples, provides access and control for power-over-coax, I²C back-channel communication, and general-purpose input/output (GPIO) communication on the FPD-Link™ channels. The PXIe-1486 is ideal for applications such as in-vehicle data logging, lab-based playback, or hardware-in-the-loop (HIL). FPD-Link is a trademark of Texas Instruments.

The GX3904 is an 8-port, cPCI asynchronous communications interface board supporting (4) RS232 and (4) RS422 signal levels. The four RS232 ports offer a full set of data and modem control lines configured for DTE operation. The four RS422 ports offer differential signaling and support DTE operation. Each RS422 differential pair is terminated by a 150 parallel resistor. An optional transition cable is available to convert the front panel SCSI connector to (8) DB-9, D-sub connectors.

All 1553A, 1553B, McAir and STANAG 3838 variants are supported. Each independent channel may be operated as a concurrent Bus Controller (BC) and up to 31 Remote Terminals (RT) with a windowed Bus Monitor (BM), or as a stand-alone Chronological Bus Monitor (CBM) with comprehensive multi-level triggering capability. Full error injection capability is provided in BC and RT modes, with full error detection in BC, RT, BM and CBM modes. Each channel provides a variable amplitude dual redundant 1553 interface, with 2 Mbytes of dual ported RAM. The board is supplied with C drivers in source code and Windows menu driven software as standard.
