Waveguide Detectors 26.5 to 110 GHz

Our waveguide detectors cover a broad frequency range of 26.5 GHz to 110 GHz and are available with waveguide sizes ranging from WR-28 to WR-10. The video output ports utilize SMA female connectors. These high performance zero-biased waveguide detectors exhibit excellent performance in Ka, Q, U, V, E and W frequency bands. These types of waveguide detectors are commonly used in various aerospace, defense and commercial wireless applications used in instrumentation, power detection, power monitoring, direct detection receivers, high frequency communications, radar, SATCOM, point-to-point radio, telecom, data links and R&D. The detector circuits use high performance GaAs Schottky Barrier Beam lead diodes with extremely low junction capacitance. These waveguide detector designs perform with minimal sensitivity variation resulting in a flat frequency response across the entire waveguide band. Active Voltage Probes

Engineers must commonly probe high-frequency signals with high signal fidelity. Typical passive probes with high input R and C provide good response at lower frequencies, but inappropriately load the circuit, and distort signals, at higher frequencies. Active voltage probes feature both high input R and low input C to reduce circuit loading across the entire probe/oscilloscope bandwidth. With low circuit loading, and a form factor that allows probing in confined areas, the active voltage probe becomes the everyday probe for all different types of signals and connection points.

The system interfaces with any FM receiver or transceiver via the antenna jack and the earphone jack. Several different models are available to suit your pocketbook or unique field application, all of which operate on the phase shift technique. The VF-142Q models incorporate left-right indicators as well as an audible response from which the user can determine the true direction of the radio signal. The other types utilize the audible response generated by the equipment and heard on the user’s receiver or transceiver. All models operate from a 9-volt battery.

The TMO-2A Transducer Modules is a complete differential amplifier/signal conditioners with self contained power. The unit provide excitation, balance and span adjustment via precision 10 turn pots, and shunt calibration necessary to couple a user supplied bridge type transducer to an indicating instrument. Zero to full scale output is specified at 4-20 mA. The TMO-2A provides a floating shunt calibration circuit which applies calibration at the transducer, thereby eliminating errors due to line losses. The excitation supply incorporates a Wagner Ground to greatly improve Common Mode Rejection. The factory set bandwidth of the module is narrow to improve stability. The removal of a single capacitor will increase the frequency response DC to 60K Hz for dynamic data applications.
