The Type RPD-2 Radio Frequency (RF) Proximity Detector is designed to detect and locate devices that radiate radio waves in the high frequency to low microwave frequency range. Such devices often include surveillance and “spy” equipment. The Type RPD-2, when used with the different sensors, will detect the emanation of the radio wave within a confined area, and then isolate its location to within approximately a square foot. The type RPD-2A may be used as an RF field strength indicator for antenna field strength measurements. The TMO-2A Transducer Modules is a complete differential amplifier/signal conditioners with self contained power. The unit provide excitation, balance and span adjustment via precision 10 turn pots, and shunt calibration necessary to couple a user supplied bridge type transducer to an indicating instrument. Zero to full scale output is specified at 4-20 mA. The TMO-2A provides a floating shunt calibration circuit which applies calibration at the transducer, thereby eliminating errors due to line losses. The excitation supply incorporates a Wagner Ground to greatly improve Common Mode Rejection. The factory set bandwidth of the module is narrow to improve stability. Standard Helmholtz Coils
Helmholtz Coils are ideal for the measurement of Rare Earth (Samarium Cobalt, Neodymium) and Hard Ferrite permanent magnet materials (materials which exhibit a relative straight line demagnetization). Our standard Helmholtz Coils are for use with fluxmeters. The Helmholtz Coil measures the magnet sample as a single magnetic moment provided that the longest dimension of the magnet sample is less than one-third (1/3) the diameter of the coil system. By definition, the magnetic moment per unit volume is the intrinsic magnetization of the sample. With our calibrated Helmholtz Coil and Integrated Fluxmeter – and given the volume of the permanent magnet sample – the intrinsic open circuit operating B (Bdi) can be measured.
