Multi Protocol Boards
The EXC-4000 carrier board series was developed to meet the needs of avionic testers for multi-protocol integrated, digital bus testing. Modules may be selected out of a growing list which currently includes MIL-STD-1553/1760, MMSI, H009, ARINC-429, ARINC-708/453, Serial (232/422/485), Discrete and CAN bus. Additionally, an IRIG B decoder implements a global time stamp relative to the IRIG B pulses. Model AD8CH12-100DMA has eight simultaneous-sampling 12-bit A/D converters, and can continuously acquire and transfer hundreds of megabytes or even gigabytes of A/D data directly into host system memory at up to 100 MB/s, via 64 or 32 bit PCIbus DMA. It can acquire and transfer eight 8-bit A/D channels at up to 12.5 MSPS each (100MB/sec aggregate), or eight 12-bit A/D channels at up to 6.25 MSPS each, or four 8-bit channels at up to 25 MSPS each, or four 12-bit channels at up to 12.5 MSPS each.

The SAMPULSE50GHz and SAMPULSE70GHzANT are demonstration boards for Furaxa InP single channel sampler/pulser ICs. The SAMPULSE50GHz model contains a 2.4mm combined TDR input/output connector to the common sampler/pulser node in the IC. The SAMPULSE70GHzANT is similar, except that instead of a single-ended 2.4mm connector, the sampler IC's differential inputs are fed from a bowtie antenna. In both models, the IC's differential sampler output is converted, using an AD8009 op amp, into a single-ended ground-referenced output that is sent to an SMA jack labeled SAMPLER OUTPUT.

The AD8-1500DMA series has a 1500 MSPS 8-bit A/D, 8GB/16GB of on-board SDRAM memory and the ability to transfer data directly into the computer system's memory at up to 320 MB/s on 64-bit PCI systems. Sampling is controlled by an onboard oscillator or by an external clock input, which may be in the frequency range between 20 MHz and 1500 MHz. Multiple boards may be configured to acquire either concurrently, for more simultaneous acquisition channels, or sequentially, with an automatic overlap selectable from 0 to nearly 2GB, in 512KB steps, for longer record length. Drivers for 64 bit Linux and Solaris operating systems included.
