The amount of information processed and time constraints required the creation of a multi-level distributed image processing system based on National Instruments Compact Vision System controllers, industrial computers and workstations. During the control process, the wheel is watered with a magnetic-luminescent emulsion, magnetized and exposed to ultraviolet radiation. As a result, the emulsion deposited on the defects glows in the visible range (yellow-green light). Eleven FireWire (IEEE 1394) color cameras with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 are used to scan the wheel surface. In one iteration, they completely cover a 20-degree sector of the wheel.

A typical emi emission test is performed using broadband EMC antennas such as biconical, log periodics, Combilogs and horns. These antennas usually placed at 1, 3 or 10 meter distance as required by the test specification. These is considered far field measurements and the emission limits are given for the specific distance by the specification. ABB's magnetic level gauge switches for point level alarm and/or control can mount to a KM26 magnetic level gauge or an LS Series cage level switch.These switches are completely isolated from the process fluid as they are magnetically activated by a magnet equipped float (KM26) or attraction sleeve (LS Series). The unique magnetic coupling action eliminates seals, diaphragms, springs, and torque tubes common to other level switching alternatives since there is no physical contact with the process fluid. The magnetic coupling also eliminates process connections to the switch; therefore, no isolation valves are required to block off the switch for maintenance. The switch "set point" is easily adjustable without changing any process piping and the result is a more reliable and easier way to maintain level system.
