Noise Parameter measurements are typically performedusing a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) to measure the S-Parameters of the DUT, and a Noise Analyzer (either Noise Figure Analyzer NFA or Spectrum Analyzer SA) to measure the noise power of the DUT. The 9025 is a 25 module receiver designed to fit into a standard 19" rack. This model is equipped with a telescopic handle on the right side. This handle is designed to rest flush against the side of the receiver as a standard handle, or can be extended out to the right up to 3" to accommodate a larger ITA enclosure or other obstruction that may prevent normal handle operation/ engagement.As with the standard 9025, a microswitch is included. Mounting flanges and an instrument bracket are also included for slide mounting. A slide kit is required, but not included. See 9025 procedure sheet/ user manual for instructions on choosing the correct slide kit length for your test rack. *Please note: Consult procedure sheet/user manual for information regarding slight slide mechanism bracket protrusion downward into next U height on test rack on both sides of receiver.

The module provides 8 measurement channels, and can be programmed for interfacing to 2, 3, and 4-wire platinum RTD sensor configurations. The 4-wire mode (default) is the most accurate, providing excellent stability and repeatability. The RTD channels feature individual A/D converters and precision excitation/current drive. Programmable lead-wire compensation is provided for inherently less accurate 2 and 3-wire configurations. All RTD channels are self-aligning because each channel is automatically "aligned" on a rotating basis to eliminate offset and gain errors throughout the operating envelope. Programmability for expected resistance range and wire modes allows for optimization of scaling/resolution, as well as flexibility in reading many RTD types.

The integrated DQPSK receiver incorporates an optical phase demodulator (delay-line interferometer or DLI) with 2 pairs of balanced photo-diodes and 2 linear TIAs into a single butterfly package. Compared with the currently available discrete solution in which a separate DLI and a separate receiver are used, the integrated DQPSK receiver eliminates labor intensive fiber routing and coupling (between the DLI and the balanced receiver) as well as the skew control. Moreover, the integrated DQPSK receiver offers a smaller footprint suitable for today’s demanding high speed transponder applications.
