    These test methods cover direct-current procedures for the measurement of dc insulation resistance,volume resistance, and surface resistance. From such measurements and the geometric dimensions of specimen and electrodes, both volume and surface resistivity of electrical insulating materials can be calculated, as well as the corresponding conductances and conductivities. These test methods are not suitable for use in measuring the electrical resistance/conductance of moderately conductive materials. Use Test Method D4496 to evaluate such materials. This standard describes several general alternative methodologies for measuring resistance (or conductance). Specific materials can be tested most appropriately by using standard ASTM test methods applicable to the specific material that define both voltage stress limits and finite electrification times as well as specimen configuration and electrode geometry. These individual specific test methodologies would be better able to define the precision and bias for the determination.

    The O2 sensor is used in Bacharach portable combustion analyzers to measure the percentage content of oxygen levels in flue gases. The range of the oxygen sensor is 0 – 20.9%. O2 measurement is used in conjunction with the chosen fuel to calculate the CO2 levels in flue gases. Bacharach portable combustion analyzers only calculate CO2 when oxygen levels are below 16%. Bacharach uses O2 and other readings in determining efficiency rather than CO2 for a more accurate measurement. Measuring oxygen content in the excess air lets you know if you have too much air or too much fuel, allowing you to tune your furnace or boiler to maximum efficiency. Measuring O2 directly can save fuel, and save time during a combustion tune-up test.

    The Model T200P provides measurements of NO and NO2 using our Model T200 NOx analyzer combined with a patented high efficiency photolytic converter. Even low temperature molybdenum converters transform other nitrogen-containing compounds such as HNO3, PAN, etc. to a considerable extent. Simultaneous measurements of NO2 performed with molybdenum and photolytic converters have shown significantly different results in the presence of such compounds.In the photolytic process the sample gas passes through a cell where it is exposed to light at a specific wavelength from an LED array. This causes the NO2 to be selectively converted to NO with negligible interference from other gases. Advances in the photolytic converter technology now yields NO2 conversion efficiency that is similar to molybdenum under typical ambient NO2 concentrations, but without the same interferences.

Available attenuators are 10 dB and 20 dB. The 10 dB attenuator extends the measurement range upwards by a factor of 10 (10x higher radiation level) and the 20 dB attenuator extends the measurement range upwards by a factor of 100 (100x higher radiation level). The attenuators are simply screwed between the antenna and the measuring device.In addition to our high-frequency filter MFF-1, there are also special filters that cover frequency ranges that the MFF-1 does not. The measuring point distance of the profile measurement can be varied over a micro-step-controlled positioning steering between 0.1mm and 1mm. The measured value accommodation for a scanning point takes place with the help of a special hardware module for image processing algorithms within 40 ms. The entire measuring time for a sample results thus as product from the sample width which has to be measured, the measuring point distance and the measuring time per measuring point.

    The Model 480 is a laboratory grade fluxmeter, for use with a Helmholtz coil or custom search coils. This instrument measures the total flux of a magnet part, which can be related to the magnetic field strength. Applications include magnet testing, magnetizing, and automated field measurement. In order to provide accurate and repeatable measurements, automatic or manual drift compensation is available to the user. A peak mode allows even the fastest magnetic pulse, such as those from a magnetizer, to be accurately measured. The Model 480 is also useful for measuring AC fields that are too high in frequency for a gaussmeter to detect. Relay outputs and an external reset input allow for simple automation functions to be implemented, while the RS232C and IEEE-488 ports permit advanced control of the fluxmeter via a remote computer or automation equipment.
