PCE Instruments
At PCE Instruments you will find three types of radioactivity meters: Alpha radioactivity meter, meter for Alpha, Beta and Gamma radioactivity, radioactivity meter for human beings. It is very important to measure radioactivity as well as to classify radioactivity values. An example of Gamma radioactivity: Terrestrial gamma radiation is measured according to general values from 0,03 – 0,3 µSv / h (micro Sievert/ hour). This "normal“ oscillation range is conditioned by contents in the ground of natural radioactive elements such as uranium, potassium, etc.

RTW GmbH & Co. KG
In an ideal world, the human ear would be the best instrument any of us could use for quality control and impartial judgment of your daily work. However, it is just not that simple. The introduction of HD and surround sound, as well as loudness control issues have triggered an increasing demand for quality control and monitoring of audio signals. Fast perception and accurate assessment of audio levels using visual representation methods are indispensable elements of daily work. RTW's easy-to-use Audio Monitors are the obvious choice.

GAO Tek Inc.
Hygrometers are the devices that are useful in detecting moisture content of the atmosphere. These are important tools that allows users to make sure that the atmosphere of certain places does not have high or very low humidity. Both high and low humidity has adverse effect on human health. High humidity at certain places allows moulds to grow and damage the place while low humidity can cause wooden furniture to be wrapped and even ruined. Moulds can trigger different health problems, including allergic reactions and respiratory disorder.

ULD-410 -
Amprobe Test Tools
When equipment begins to fail due to an air or gas leak or vibration, or electrical discharge, the leakage point emits an ultrasonic sound wave that is above the natural range of human hearing. The ULD-410 Ultrasonic Leak Detector converts this ultrasonic sound into a signal that can be used to pinpoint the exact location of the equipment failure.

229-2 -
Simpson Electric Company
Testing for dangerous small leakage currents is easy with the Simpson Model 229-2 Leakage Current Tester. For use in appliance field service, in the lab, or in production, the 229-2 approximates the human threshold of perception in detecting hazardous AC leakage current. The 229-2 comes with test leads with alligator clips, manual and batteries.

TUD-1 -
Sonel S.A.
Sonel TUD-1 is a compact, portable device that receives ultrasonic waves transmitted by air, and then converts them into acoustic waves in the range audible through the human ear. The device additionally amplifies the received signals. Next after conversion, TUD-1 displays them on the diode bargraph and emits in an acoustic form through the headset.

Hitex GmbH
Testing a complete system is very different from unit and integration test. It starts with the V model that defines the system requirements, and this needs an effective system test capability that includes both the system and the environment around it. If the system has interfaces to the outside world, communications links or human control, these interfaces have to be tested.

Hyper Vision HPV-X2 -
Shimadzu Corp.
Medical science and engineering have made dramatic progress thanks to visualization technology. Examples include the invention of microscopes capable of enlarged observations of phenomena occurring in the microscopic domain, invisible to the human eye, X-ray inspection systems, which enable the observation of images utilizing light at imperceptible wavelengths, and infrared cameras. Our eyes are incapable of capturing phenomena occurring at times shorter than 50 to 100 ms. As a result, high-speed video cameras have become necessary in order to record phenomena occurring at intervals that cannot be seen with the human eye, and then replay them at a slower rate so that they can be visualized. As the standard tool for visualizing ultra high-speed domains, the Hyper Vision high-speed video camera contributes to our understanding of ultra high-speed phenomena in a variety of fields.

Applied Image, Inc.
The Sinusoidal Visual Demonstration Array is designed to demonstrate the Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) of the human eye. Its transmittance varies sinusoidally and increases in spatial frequency from 0.2 to 20 c/mm, following a logrithmic scale. The modulation increases linearly from top to bottom. One can see, in the image, where the visual contrast contour disappears which is the MTF of the eye. Ideally suited for teaching and demonstration, the Array is available on film mounted in glass (-G), or mounted in a 2″x 2″ projection slide.(-SL)

ams AG
ams supplies a family of products which combine an Ambient Light Sensor (ALS) and proximity detection in a single device. The ALS provides measurements of ambient light intensity which match the human eye’s response to light under a variety of lighting conditions, and through a variety of attenuation materials. The proximity detection feature allows a large dynamic range of operation for use over short distances and behind dark glass. These devices are intended for use in mobile phones, and over longer distances for presence detection in computer displays and monitors.

Mycotoxin Screening System -
Shimadzu Corp.
Mycotoxin (mold toxin) is a generic term for metabolites produced by molds on food products that are hazardous to human and animal health. To improve food safety, food processors have been inspecting ingredients for the presence of such mycotoxins. In only 14 minutes, this mycotoxin screening system is able to detect the presence of 10 mycotoxin components with high sensitivity at concentration levels specifled by EU standards, which are the strictest in the world. Furthermore, because the system does not involve a sample derivatization process, samples can be measured much more efficiently.
