Connector Test
A connector test system which provides expansion of up to 160 Kelvin pair connections. The system incorporates high voltage AC and DC power supplies with a maximum output of +/- 2100 Volts peak for Hi Pot, Insulation resistance measurement. LCR bridge control is provided with 4 terminal multiplexing in order to add precision capacitance, inductance and resistance measurement capability. An integral H.V. capacitor bias option permits capacitance measurement to be made at up to 2.1kV.

RF Amplifiers Bias Controllers
RF amplifier bias controllers generate a regulated drain voltage and actively adjusts the gate voltage of an external amplifier to achieve constant bias current. It can be used to bias any enhancement and depletion type amplifier operating in Class-A regime with drain voltages (VDRAIN) as specified. These devices achieve excellent bias stability over supply, temperature and process variations, and eliminates the required calibration procedures used to prevent RF performance degradation due to such variations.

QuickSun 550Ei is a versatile testing system for qualifying of PV modules with dimensions up to 105 x 205 cm2. Basic set up includes a top class solar simulator which measures modules in sunny side up position enabling e.g. soiling simulations. Several additional measurement methods can be integrated to the same system including high resolution EL imaging with analysis software from one of the most recognized EL system suppliers. The ADLINK PCIe/PXIe-9529 is a high-performance, high density, 8-CH analog input dynamic signal acquisition module. The PCIe/PXIe-9529 features eight 24-bit simultaneously sampling analog input channels. The 24-bit sigma-delta ADC provides a sampling rate of 192 kS/s at high resolution, making it ideal for higher dynamic range signal measurement. All channels are sampled simultaneously and accept input range up to ±10V, and the analog inputs support software-selectable AC or DC coupling and 4 mA bias current for integrated electronic piezoelectric (IEPE) sensors. The module is especially designed to meet the requirements of vibration analysis and audio testing.

Five Channel Amplifier
Teledyne RF & Micrrowave designed the Five Channel Amplifier specifically for a custom space application. Each independent channel used dedicated RF Input/Output and DC bias connections. Each channel's RF performance was tailored differently to meet the application requirements. All components were manufactured and screened per MIL-PRF-38534, Class K. Additionally, to meet mission requirements The top assembly was also tested for RF and DC parameters during MIL-STD-202 thermal cycling and random vibration environments. This effort required disciplined development, manufacturing and program management efforts to meet challenging mechanical and RF engineering requirements.

Melexis 90217 Hall-Effect Sensor

Parallax has worked with the Melexis 90217 sensor in applications including CNC milling machine spindle speed measurement and feedback on motor RPM. With the CNC milling machine it reliably measured the top spindle speed of 7,500 RPM. This is a cost-effective and highly functional hall-effect sensor. The Melexis 90217 is designed to be used with a bias magnet (#605-00006) south facing the back (non-marked) side of the IC. With a single Hall plate, this sensor is immune to common rotary alignment problems. Very easy to interface with all microcontrollers.
