XMC-to-PCI Express (PCIe) Adapter

The Technobox, Inc. P/N 8615 XMC-to-PCI Express adapter with Rear I/O support permits use of a standard VITA 42.3 air-cooled XMC, or VITA 20 conduction-cooled XMC, in the smallest possible edge finger PCI Express form factor. The length of the adapter is the length of the XMC, and 10 mm mezzanine stacking height is supported. The height is a standard PCI Express board, and is not the low-profile version.

M4KDiscrete Module
The M4KDiscrete module provides a complete solution for developing and testing discrete voltage-level interfaces. The M4KDiscrete contains control I/O registers that are memory-mapped and may be accessed in real time. The module supports twenty programmable I/O discretes that can record or control the external discretes that are connected to it. In addition, the module can record changes in the input discrete with an associated time tag via a built-in FIFO. Output discretes are open collector, capable of handling up to 32V with a maximum sink current of 100 mA each. Ordering Information:The user can set each discrete:• Either as input or output.• Either to TTL (0 – 5V) or Avionics (0 – 32V) voltage levels on inputs and• Either enable or disable external debounce on inputsThere is a 4092 Word FIFO (a string of 1023 discrete entries) containing the data and time tags.The M4KDiscrete module is supplied with C drivers, including source code and may be used with Exalt, Excalibur’s Analysis and Laboratory Tools, a Windows monitoring application.

Up to 40 controllers may be independently powered and monitored for functionality using the process test interface of the Optimum WinAOS application. Each part may have 2 separate biases featuring both current and voltage monitoring. Independent test is implemented through a standard JTAG interface. A separate serial clock and command interface may be used if required to provide device initialization sequences. JTAG control is muxed to each part through the use of an independent clock for each part. All of the ARC processor registers and memory space may be tested through the JTAG I/O.
