The JT 2127/Flex STM memory socket tester is a family of hardware adapters specifically designed for the testing of of PCB-mounted DIMM & SODIMM sockets using a JTAG/boundary-scan controller and supporting software. The testing of memory sockets has always been troublesome for test and production engineers using JTAG/boundary-scan systems. Even when it is possible to create memory writes/reads from a boundary-scan compliant access device on the UUT (Unit Under Test), the initialization process may fail leaving you with little diagnostics information. What’s more it can still be uncertain whether fault lays with the DIMM module itself or the socket. The Keysight 85130F test port adapter protects the test set port from connecting directly with the device under test. It has a special rugged female connector designed for connecting to the network analyzer test port. This special connector does not mate with a standard male connector but converts the rugged test set port to a connection that will mate with the device under test. Insertion loss is 0.3 * sqrt (f) + 0.2 dB (where f is frequency is GHz) for the test port connector, and 1.8 dB at maximum frequency for the device connector. Phase stability of semi-rigid/flexible cables is characterized with a 90 degree bend using a 4 inch radius. Stability1 of the Keysight 85131G is 0.06 dB and phase is 0.16o * f + 0.5o (where f is frequency in GHz).

In order to better test the service life of LEDs, Feasa developed the LED Life Analyser, which enables LED values to be measured under extreme temperatures. This model can measure at temperatures from -65 °C to +125 °C. The fibres used in the Life Analyser are specially designed for use at extreme temperatures. To support this, specific optical heads made of selected materials were designed to withstand the high temperatures. The Feasa Life Analyser is available in 3, 5, 10 and 20 channel configurations. The interfaces are USB, RS232 and daisy chain. The associated test software continuously tests the LEDs at fixed time intervals and saves the results to the hard drive. The software can also send updates via e-mail.
