Random Number Generation
Quantis is a family of hardware random number generators (RNG) which exploit elementary quantum optical processes as a source of true randomness (cf. Wikipedia: physical phenomena with quantum random properties). Photons (light particles) are sent, one by one, onto a semi-transparent mirror and detected. The exclusive events (reflection or transmission) are associated to “0” or “1” bit values. Such quantum processes provide instantaneous and inexhaustible entropy.

Sciencetech solar simulators produce high intensity, uniform illumination on a target area. Typically, high power solar simulators use an ellipsoidal reflector to capture light from an arc lamp source inside the reflector, an arrangement that results in a light pattern with a bright outer region and a dark center. Halogen & Deuterium Halogen Light Sources
Avantes Deuterium light sources are known for their stable output ad are used for UV absorption or reflection measurements. These can also be used as irradiance calibration sources due to their high stability. The standard AvaLight-DH-S mixes the halogen light with the Deuterium light, thus producing a wide spectral range light source. The output spectrum of Deuterium light sources exhibits several peaks, with a prominent peak at 656 nm. The AvaLight-DH-S-BAL incorporates a dichroic beam splitter installed to minimize these peaks, providing a smooth spectrum from 200-2500 nm.
