We offer integrating spheres made from a special polymer suitable for the wavelength range 250nm – 2.5 µm. For longer wavelengths in the range 700nm – 20 µm, a gold coating on a rough, metallic surface is used. Since lasers in this spectral range are usually also high power, we use solid copper as a thermally conductive substrate material. By choosing the size of the integrating sphere, the overall sensitivity of the system can be adjusted. In addition, the detector is independent of inhomogeneities in power density and polarization. The detector is also independent of the incidence location and angle of the laser radiation.

The panel also contains a test point breakout for the units main connector as well as one for the VG-401 base. The VG-401 breakouts provide an in series connection that will allow easy access to the gyro's signals and also provides a way to monitor rotor current. SEN-36002 is a highly integrated carrier board designed for the Si1145 UV, Ambient Light and Proximity sensor IC from Silicon Labs. This sensor has 100mLUX resolution, and has a dynamic range of 1 LUX to 128 kLUX with IR correction. This means that whether your application is indoors in poor lighting conditions or outside in full sunlight, this sensor has you covered. In addition, we added a high power LED (150mA max, 20 degree) to take full advantage of the proximity sensing capability of this IC - something you won't see on most competitive carrier boards. Integration is easy with 4 x 4-40 sized mounting holes at the corners of the PCB and signal translation to handle interface voltages from 3V to 5V. The board is interfaced via an I2C interface and function pins have been broken out to a 0.1" pin header. The INT pin is also broken out for interrupt capability.
