HALT consists of high and low temperature and 3 axis vibration testing performed either individually or in combination.
Highly accelerated life testing is performed to identify design weaknesses and problems prior to production. HALT subjects equipment to overstress conditions at a level which does affect life, but offers an advantage by reducing the design and development phases of a program.
