The RFM-DACNF04 is a four channel Digital to Analog converter FMC which complies with VITA 57.1-2010. Each channel provides 16-bit input and one DC coupled single-end analog output with DC – 250KHz sampling speed based on Linear Technology’s LTC2704-16. The 16-bit input data for each channel is provided through SPI from the FPGA on the FMC carrier board. A single-ended TTL level trigger output is provided from the FPGA.

Single-ended external clock, differential external clock or an internal clock from the FMC carrier board can be selected at the FMC for the AD converter through fine clock generator ADI AD9518-3.

The add-on board, called “Sundance External Interface Connector – SEIC” contains LEDs, RS232, USB2.0, HDMI, 1Gb Ethernet and SATA . The “SEIC” can be customize for individual applications and bespoke connectors.

The SMT700 is one of the first of a new range of Sundance cards that includes a direct connection to SLB (Sundance Local Bus) compatible mezzanine card, without the need for a Sundance TIM. This enables a variety of cards to be added to a system, for example extra Ethernet ports, video in/out, High speed ADC / DAC etc. Data from these extra cards (along with data from the SMT700’s own inputs – up to 1Gb/s Ethernet, 2.5Gb/s optical links, and RSL links) can be processed via the Virtex 5, or by another linked card or module.

The FMC112 is a twelve-channel ADC FMC Daughter Card which is fully compliant with the VITA 57.1-2008 standard. The FMC112 provides twelve A/D 14-bit 125Msps channels which can be sampled by an internal clock source (optionally locked to an external reference) or an externally supplied sample clock. A trigger input for customized sampling control is also available. The FMC112 has the LPC (Low-Pin Count) connector, front panel I/O, and is conduction cooled capable.

An FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC) created to produce pulses delayed by a user-programmed value with respect to the input trigger pulse. It has 4 output channels and one input trigger. The delay from the trigger input to each of the outputs can be set independently in a range from 600 ns to 120 seconds. It is implemented using a dedicated time-to-digital converter IC from the European company Acam.
