The FMC667 is a Digital Signal Processor FMC daughter card based on the Texas Instruments TMS320C6678 device. The FMC667 daughter card is mechanically and electrically compliant with the FMC standard (ANSI/VITA 57.1), and can be used in a conduction cooled environment. This FMC is equipped with power supply and temperature monitoring and offers several power-down modes to switch off unused functions and peripheral interfaces. Several Gigabit differential pairs from the FMC connector are used to implement a PCIe and Serial Rapid IO interface between the FMC and the carrier.

The SMT700 is one of the first of a new range of Sundance cards that includes a direct connection to SLB (Sundance Local Bus) compatible mezzanine card, without the need for a Sundance TIM. This enables a variety of cards to be added to a system, for example extra Ethernet ports, video in/out, High speed ADC / DAC etc. Data from these extra cards (along with data from the SMT700’s own inputs – up to 1Gb/s Ethernet, 2.5Gb/s optical links, and RSL links) can be processed via the Virtex 5, or by another linked card or module.

The RFM-DACNF05 is a five channel Digital to Analog converter FMC which complies with VITA 57.1-2010. Each channel provides 16-bit single-ended input and one DC coupled differential analog output with 1 – 500MHz sampling speed based on Maxim MAX5888A. A single-ended external input or output clock is provided. The direction of the clock is programmable from the FPGA of the FMC carrier board.
