  • TDS/Conductivity And PH Testing Instruments

    DS & pDS Meters™ - Myron L Company

No water supply is completely pure. Every industrial, commercial, or natural source contains dissolved solids or salts. These impurities contribute to scale, corrosion, poor taste, and environmental pollution that endanger animal and plant life. Myron L® Company has two proven ways to measure such impurities. Our DS Meters™ provide fast, accurate, on-the-spot measurements of total dissolved solids (TDS) or conductivity. pDS Meters™ test conductivity or TDS, plus pH. Readings from their highly stable circuitry help assure product quality, prevent equipment damage and verify in-line instrumentation in a wide range of applications.

  • Portable Digital Manometer

    PS309 - Validyne Engineering

Featured are an integral variable reluctance transducer, solid state electronics module, 3 digit liquid crystal display (LCD)* and battery pack with six 1.5V penlight cells for truly portable operation. The units can also be powered from an external DC power supply or AC battery eliminator (converter) module. The transducer features all corrosion resistant materials in contact with the pressure media (both ports in differential units), very low internal cavity volumes and ultra-low volumetric displacement with full-scale pressure excursion. Transducer calibration is unaffected by dielectric properties of the sensed fluid. Gauge and differential transducers may be disassembled and range changed by simple diaphragm replacement.

  • Clora Online

    XOS

Chlorine is often present in crude oils and the concentration can vary greatly depending on the origin. If not removed, Chlorine can react to form highly corrosive hydrochloric acid in areas such as crude tower overheads, leading to serious operational issues, economic loss and safety concerns. The need for a reliable online chlorine analyzer for refining process control is more important than ever. Clora Online complies with ASTM D7536 method, and delivers continuous chlorine analysis to monitor plant equipment corrosion. By monitoring desalted crude, a plant can optimize performance and immediately see impacts of crude changes (including organic chloride). Additionally, monitoring overhead water can provide the necessary feedback for chemical feed.

  • Digital Tank Test Kit

    4109 - M. C. Miller Company

The voltmeter included in the kit, the “Model DPM” voltmeter, is designed for ease of use by meter readers and corrosion technicians alike and the voltmeter comes with an integrated RE-5 reference electrode attached for “metallic structure-to-soil” potential difference readings. The kit also includes a special test lead that has a brass thumb screw on one end which allows the test lead to substitute for the RE-5 reference electrode. This substitution allows the voltmeter to take “structure-to-structure” potential difference readings. The voltmeter offers two ranges, ±2VDC and ±20VDC with a 20MΩ input impedance. Since the voltmeter is digital [in contrast to the meter in our analog tank test kit (Cat. # 4108)], both negative and positive voltages are displayed. `

  • Roughness Testers

    PCE Instruments

Roughness is an important parameter when trying to find out whether a surface is suitable for a certain purpose. Rough surfaces often wear out more quickly than smoother surfaces. Rougher surfaces are normally more vulnerable to corrosion and cracks, but they can also aid in adhesion. A roughness tester is used to quickly and accurately determine the surface texture or surface roughness of a material. A roughness tester shows the measured roughness depth (Rz) as well as the mean roughness value (Ra) in micrometers or microns (µm). Measuring the roughness of a surface involves applying a roughness filter. Different international standards and surface texture or surface finish specifications recommend the use of different roughness filters. For example, a Gaussian filter often is recommended in ISO standards.

  • Analog Tank Test Kit

    4108 - M. C. Miller Company

The voltmeter included in the kit, the “Model IA” voltmeter, is designed for ease of use by meter readers and corrosion technicians alike and the voltmeter comes with an integrated RE-5 reference electrode attached for “metallic structure-to-soil” potential difference readings. The kit also includes a special test lead that has a brass thumb screw on one end which allows the test lead to substitute for the RE-5 reference electrode. This substitution allows the voltmeter to take “structure-to-structure” potential difference readings. The voltmeter offers a 0 - 2VDC range with a 10MΩ input impedance and the analog display presents a color divided scale for convenient indication as to whether or not a carbon-steel structure is receiving a suitable level of cathodic protection, with respect to the accepted 0.85V (850mV) threshold value.

  • Dissolved Ammonia Delivery System

    DI-NH3 - MKS Instruments

MKS' DI-NH3 is a compact, stand-alone system providing dissolved ammonia water. With Semiconductor 3D IC architectures using new materials like Cu-Co and Si-SiGe, the ability to wet clean with precise alkaline chemistries is growing in frequency and importance. The DI-NH3 delivers dissolved ammonia, providing optimal cleaning capability in an alkaline chemistry, minimizing material loss and contamination and inhibiting Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). Using closed-loop control, conductivity and pressure are kept stable under changing flow conditions. The dissolved ammonia concentration is monitored and adjusted, delivering the specific NH4OH concentration needed. Dissolved ammonia’s alkaline chemistry provides ESD protection during rinsing, particle lift-off, and residual photoresist removal in middle-of-line (MOL) and prevents corrosion of cobalt/copper interfaces.
