The Waveform Generation Tool provides a simplified interface for baseband modulation of Keysight's wide bandwidth signal simulation solutions, for signals with up to 1 GHz RF bandwidth. Even the most complex signals are defined and implemented easily through the software interface. Signals can be defined through basic parameter entry or from files created in MATLAB or other engineering environments. For each selection in the main menu, a subsequent screen appears, enabling the user to enter the parameters required to define the waveform and invoke the built-in calibration routines. A display on each sub-panel shows the ideal frequency domain waveform calculated from entered parameters. A simulation mode is provided to enable development and operation without connection to the instrument hardware.

The ICE3009 subsystem is an agile filter for the VHF-L, VHF-H and UHF frequency bands. It allows operation of a number of transceivers in a cosite environment. The VHF/UHF Filter provides multiple poles of RF selectivity to reduce broadband noise in transmit mode of operation and to reduce interfering signals at the transceiver’s RF input in receive mode at Have Quick II/IIa and SATURN tuning speeds. This design incorporates a flexible control scheme that can be configured at the factory for various radio interfaces (ARC-210, ARC-231, ARINC 429, etc.). The design is highly integrated and includes all filters, amplifiers, power supply, transmit and receive switching (including a bypass mode), and Built-in-Test (BIT). The Type HFX-1 Modulation Monitor is an ancillary piece of equipment, which is used with narrow bandwidth, or older oscilloscopes to allow viewing of RF signals and particularly modulated signals as high as 55MHz. The equipment contains an RF signal source and a broadband mixing circuit which converts the high frequency signal to an intermediate frequency within the oscilloscope’s range. The frequency control dial is simply adjusted until the RF signal is viewed on the scope. BNC connectors are mounted on the rear panel to allow interconnect to the scope and RF probe. This product was previously called "oscilloscope frequency extender" and may be used to view other high frequency signals on older or narrow band scopes.
