wireless traffic generator is an excellent choice for testing Access Points and other WiFinetworks. The CT520 uses a modified Wireless driver for WiFi NICs based on the Atheros chipset. It cansupport up to 32 Virtual Stations. Each of the Virtual Stations has its own IP address, IP port space, MACaddress and routing table. The Virtual Stations can be assigned to communicate to a particular AccessPoint, use a particular SSID, and have a WEP (64 or 128bit) or WPA/WPA2 key assigned. More advanced802.1X authentication is also included. There is a single WiFi radio per CT520 but multiple LANforgesystems can be clustered together for more realistic radio interference patterns and increased trafficgeneration capability. The AWG18 is an 18 bit Arbitrary Waveform Generator for high-speed / high resolution waveform generation. This module features two dedicated signal paths. A DC to 100 MHz path which is optimized for accurate time domain and frequency domain measurements up to 30 MHz. And a dedicated AC path optimized for signals between 10 MHz to 100 MHz. In combination with the built-in filters it features a typical harmonics level of better than -80 dBc for the whole range.

In order to implement a 100 % stator earth fault protection based on subharmonic injection, a 20Hz voltage is injected into the generator star point. The 20-Hz generator SGEN-1001 is used in combination with the Band Pass Filter SBPF-1001 in the Stator Earth fault protection. The injection can be performed by connecting the SGEN-1001 and the SBPF-1001 to the load resistor of an earthing or neutral transformer. If an earth fault occurs in the generator star point, the 20 Hz voltage drives a current through the fault resistance. From the driving voltage and the fault current, the protective relay determines the fault resistance.
