The PI-1600 Circuit Breaker Tester incorporates modular design and flexibility to provide unequaled capability in a portable package. The PI-1600 test set is two testers in one, incorporating the PI-800 and PI-AUX. The PI-800 section can be used alone, on 120 or 240 VAC supplies, generating continuous current of 400, 800, amps at 4.2 kVA, with peak output to over 10x. When configured for the PI-1600, the PI-AUX output unit is connected in series or parallel to the PI-800. The PI-AUX boosts total power to 9.8KVA, and allows testing of draw-out breakers and MCB’s to 1600 Amps. The units are housed in rugged interlocking suitcase-size enclosures. Each piece weighs no more than 125 pounds, allowing one-person hand truck mobility. Basic operation is very simple, and the proven MAC-21 control instrumentation provides optimal output control and measurement. The MAC-21 instrumentation is supplied in a separate rugged portable case, interlocks on top of the PI-800, and connects to a cable in the rear of the test set.

Integrating spheres are used especially for measuring divergent light sources such as LEDs. The light is introduced through the input port, then reflected many times by the highly reflective interior of the sphere until it illuminates the inner surface uniformly. A detector samples a small fraction of this light to measure the total power input. Ophir integrating spheres have a highly reflective diffuse white coating for measurements independent of beam size, position and divergence. The LS-44-QBS contains up to 4 Lumistar LS-40-DB25 Bit Synchronizer Daughterboards in a 1U RackMount chassis with status lights on the front panel and all interconnections through the rear. The design contains an internal computer which runsoff DOS or Windows depending on the version selected. The DOS version boots quickly without the delays required for Windows startup. The Windows version offers networking. The unit can be connected directly to the optional 1U slideout keyboard/display, for setup resulting in only 2U of total rack height. For applications that require many bit synchronizers, a 1U keyboard/Display with KVM switch allows 32 bit synchronizers in 9U of rack height. When power is applied, the computer will operate with the last configuration unless the operator wishes to change the setup. For setup, the keyboard/display is pulled out and the display is flipped up to monitor the process. When the bit synchronizer setup is completed, the keyboard/display canbe closed up since the status can be monitored on the front panel without an external display.

The water enters the meter from the inlet of the meter body and impacts the vane wheel at the tip of the vane blades to make it rotate. The water flows out from the outlet of the body. The rotation of the vane wheel (proportional to the velocity of water flow) is transmitted directly to the central gear in the vacuum-sealed register by the magnetic coupling. The sealed register totalizes and indicates the water volume passing through the meter.
