Each Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) is provided with a separate reference voltage selection either from internally generated reference or from the external input. This external input reference signal is passed into the protection circuits before it is fed to any active components. The input protection circuit is designed for ± 25Vp-p input ranges. The DAC output may be unipolar or bipolar and the output is jumper selectable, which is routed to the VME P2 connector, with short circuit protection of upto 30mA.
