Dummy Load

Dummy load is capable of dissipating four times the legal limit 6 kW for 2 minutes and legal limit 1500 watts key down, forever. It covers the 160 meter to 6 meter bands (actually 1 Mhz-60 MHz continuously). It is a dry dummy load intended for testing amplifiers and station conditions. Two fans on the rear of the unit are automatically turned on when the internal temperature reaches 120°F/49°C . The unit runs off a universal AC supply. Simple to operate and use, the dummy load includes an RF sample output of -60 dBc.

The IRU151 is powered by the low-power NXP i.MX 6 UltraLite processer. They can withstand an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C and up to 2G of vibration for operating in harsh environments. Furthermore, it supports NI LabVIEW to allow users to design graphical user interfaces for their measurement applications quickly and efficiently. In order to provide data collection and device control, the IRU151 comes with various I/O connectors, including four analog input (AI) channels, one isolated RS-232/422/485 port, one isolated LAN and one isolated DIO (2-in/2-out). The four analog input channels have differential input configuration and overvoltage protection of 55V DC. These targets conform to MIL-STD-150A. Frequencies change by the 6th root of 2. This target is also available in custom sizes and contrasts. This test target meets requirements as specified in MIL-STD-150A for resolving power tests. The target consists of a series of Elements having two sets of lines at right angles. Each set of lines consists of three lines separated by spaces equal to the line width. Each bar has a length to width ratio of 5:1. (Line width is equal to one half of line pitch, which is the inverse of line frequency.) Elements are arranged in groups of six each and Groups are arranged in pairs. Even numbered Groups occupy the left side and bottom right corner and contain a square feature having and edge length equal to the line length of Element 2 in that group. Odd numbered Groups occupy the top right corner and side. Groups and Elements are labeled and differentiated by numbering adjacent to their features. Frequencies in cycles/mm (c/mm) increase between each Element by the sixth root of two (approximately 12.25% per step). The general formula for the line frequency of any target Element can be expressed as 2Group+(Element-1)/6.
