Pulsar Microwave manufactures a line of single and dual directional couplers specifically designed for high power operation. There are various narrow and broadband designs from 0.1 MHz to 10 GHz. These directional couplers come in standard values of 30, 35, 40 and 50 dB with coupling tolerance of +/- 1 dB.The high power directional couplers have low insertion loss. Coupling flatness is maintained at +/- 1 dB or less among models. Most units hold a mainline VSWR of 1.2:1 or better throughout the operating frequency range. Pulsar Microwave has designs up to 2.5 kW input power. Typical directivity is 20 dB or more.Standard outlines are available with SMA or N type female connectors. For higher power ratings, typically the mainline will use N connectors with SMA on the coupled ports.

The PowerMaster represents a breakthrough in features for measurement of the performance of your transmitting system. Microprocessor control insures fast capture time and low power consumption. With the ability to monitor your VSWR and power levels at all times, you will know that your transmitter, RF source, and load, or antenna systems are operating effectively and safely. In addition, the power and VSWR relay alarms can quickly shut down your power amplifier system and alert you to the alarm condition. This places an additional layer of protection in your transmitting system to help preserve expensive tubes and finals.
