PowerMaster II for SO2R

The Power Master II wattmeter has the ability to have two couplers connected to it, and it has provision to allow switching very easily between the two couplers through only two button presses on the front panel.When operating SO2R, you do not want to have to toggle from one coupler to another. We make matched couplers available for SO2R users and due to the nature of these couplers being high impedancedevices, we can actually connect the two coupler inputs in parallel and instead of toggling between the two couplers, they will both be connected and active at the same time. The first step is to disconnect all connections to the rear panel of your Power Master II and remove the two #6-32 philips screws on either side of the cabinet.

The Bandmaster III universal band decoder is a highly integrated unit that not only decodes band information using YAESU “band data” (note 1), but can sense band information for all bands from160M through 6M, including 160M, separate 80M and 75M, 60M, WARC bands and 6M by monitoring CAT (note 2) data going to and from the radio. The Bandmaster III also contains all circuitry for level conversion thus eliminating the need for a separate CAT radio interface (note 3).

Stack Match controller is a replacement for the rotary switch Stack Match controller. It features pushbutton switches for easy antenna selection and has outputs for both phase control and an auxiliary output. It is a component of the ShackLAN product line and as such can be fully remotely controlled via computer with our ShackLAN Control Center software. All outputs are switched with relay contacts for maximum reliability and power for the external switching unit may be applied from a separate power source to provide maximum isolation from the ShackLAN network. There is also a PTT input to allow different stack configurations for transmit and receive.

The AS-RXFEP Receiver protector limits input RF signal threshold from 1 to 150MHz to less than 0.3 Vrms to protect a receiver front end from damage due to nearby transmitted signals. The receiver still actsnormally and measured signal strength is not affected.The circuit uses a multi-stage design of transformer saturation coupling and current limiters. It also incorporates a low voltage GDT to protect from lightning events. These are for receiving only - you cannot transmit through them without damaging the unit.

The PowerMaster represents a breakthrough in features for measurement of the performance of your transmitting system. Microprocessor control insures fast capture time and low power consumption. With the ability to monitor your VSWR and power levels at all times, you will know that your transmitter, RF source, and load, or antenna systems are operating effectively and safely. In addition, the power and VSWR relay alarms can quickly shut down your power amplifier system and alert you to the alarm condition. This places an additional layer of protection in your transmitting system to help preserve expensive tubes and finals. The PowerMaster also features the ability to be monitored and controlled from a PC via the bundled software, and the unique ability to be monitored and controlled over a LAN or from the internet. PowerMaster firmware updates will be made available for download from the Array Solutions website as they becomeavailable.
