MT97x, MT98x and XT98x series automated tuners (also known as automated impedance tuners and automated load pull tuners) are precision instruments that are optimized for a broad class of in-fixture and on-wafer applications, and may be used in any automated or manual application requiring the ability to match the impedance of a microwave circuit element or to establish specific impedances at a terminal interface. The tuner design is based on the slide screw concept using the inherently broadband slab-line transmission structure. Each unit has two non-contacting probes deliver high VSWR with superb accuracy and reliability over a wide frequency range. These probes can be fully retracted leaving a low-loss, well-matched transmission line, which is a significant benefit in power related applications where two-port tuners capable of handling large amounts of power are required. As integral components of Maury Device Characterization Solutions, these PC-based tuners are controlled using Maury's family of Device Characterization Software tools, including MT930 IVCAD, MT993 ATS and the DLL-based measurement automation environment. Smart Sockets
Ironwood Electronics extended its high performance socket product line with smart features. Sockets are typically rated for 2K to 500K cycles. How do we know if the sockets are used for 100K or 200K insertions? Solution is electronic chip insertion counter. Our sockets can be integrated with electronics counter into the compression mechanism of the socket lid. A push button is exposed on the compression plate. Every time a chip is compressed, push button is actuated which in turn activates the electronic circuitry inside the lid. These activations are counted by the counter IC and displayed in LCD. Let’s say a contact element is rated for 2K insertions. After 2K insertions, this contact element will be replaced by new contact element. Now, the counter has to start the counting from the beginning. To achieve this function, a reset option is included in the electronics circuitry. When reset is actuated, LCD display will go to “0”.

VHF/UHF Handheld Signal Location Antennas
Type NVF-2
The Type NVF-2 series of handheld directional antennas are used to locate interfering signals or noise in either the 420 – 470 MHz (Type NVF-2A) or the 900 MHz ISM band or cellular telephone bands (Type NVF-2B). Both models incorporate a solid reflector positioned behind a resonated half wave driven element, both elements being mounted on a fiberglass rod with an integral pistol grip. The configuration of the reflector and driven element are such that a deep null in the signal being received will occur when the antenna is pointed in the direction of the signal being radiated. A T-pad resistive attenuator is also incorporated in the antenna mounting enclosure to aid in the direction finding process on very strong signals or when excessive reflections present multiple returns.
