Fluid Level Sensor

The output of the fluid level sensor is a voltage which changes in direct proportion to the level of fluid in the probe. The difference in permittivity between air and the fluid being measured changes the capacitance between the probe's two concentric tubes as the level changes. An RS232 connection to a PC allows the user to calibrate the fluid level and thermal drift compensation. The probe is factory replaceable, allowing the electronics to be re-used should the probe become damaged or if a new probe length is required.

The EM A10 is a low level amplifier module for sensitive measurements, data collection and systems, where signals below 1 nanovolt may be measured. It is ideal for the input unit for precision voltage measuring systems, requiring voltage sensitivity for measuring low noise and low impedance sources. The noise level of the A10 is equivalent to a perfect resistor of about 20 ohms. The Model LL-V Liquid Level Sensor is manufactured out of 17-4 PH Stainless Steel and is designed for vertical entry into a tank or stilling well for complete submersion in the fluid. The all-welded stainless steel housing and pressure sensing diaphragm provides corrosion resistance to most fluids. The electrical cable exits through a 1/2-14 NPT threaded conduit fitting which allows the attachment of a variety of tubing or flexible conduit. The electrical cable is vulcanized to a welded on stainless steel ferrel. The four conductor electrical cable has an atmospheric vent tube inside the cable jacket and is attached to the ̶0:true gage̶1: all-welded chamber inside the sensor to provide an atmospheric zero reference.
