The 40-872-004 is a 50 ohm 4-to-1 RF MUX available with 4 banks in a single PXI slot. Using modern RF relay technology, it features low insertion loss and low VSWR at an affordable price. Each MUX has been carefully designed to ensure excellent and repeatable RF characteristics up to frequencies of 3 GHz, with each path having a nominally equal insertion loss.

Multi Channel Optical Fibre Verification

The multi-channel optical fibre test system is used in the development and qualification of single mode optical fibres. The fibres are exposed to environmental influences in a climatic chamber in order to analyse the data on insertion loss and reflection. In addition, the current temperature in the climatic chamber is documented. Insertion loss measurement is performed with the help of an optical power meter, laser sources and optical switches. An Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) from Exfo is used for the reflection measurements. The system was designed for the simultaneous characterization of 15 sample fibres and one reference fibre.

Test Database Software Module

The relational test database is the pivotal point of the software structure. On one hand, this is where the test applications and test systems used for productive testing are stored; on the other hand, it provides the storage space for all DUT-related test data. Depending on customer requirements, the test database may either be hosted locally on the test system or centrally on a server, supporting several test systems. The database performance is sufficient for a high-volume production environment with many test systems which access the central database in parallel. LXinstruments prefers to implement the database as a license-free MySQL database; it is however also possible to realize a version based on Microsoft SQL.

The HV test hood, developed by us in accordance with EN50191 standard (erection and operation of fixed and temporary electrical test installations), is designed for testing large quantities in ongoing production. The ergonomic design ensures fatigue-free operation even during repetitive work sequences. Equipped with all safety-relevant functions, such as safety switch and locking of the hood cover during the test sequence, the operator is optimally protected at all times.The interchangeable adapter plate within the test cell allows quick adaptation for different test conditions and test situations.

The spectrum of DC power supplies ranges from simple power adapters with only one output voltage to complex controllable power sources. Power adapters, often also called plug-in mains adapters, are mainly used for small electrical appliances (such as telephones, strings of light, notebooks, etc.) in private households. They are included in the scope of delivery of the product and only serve to supply power with a defined output voltage of 6 V or 12 V, for example. The output power is usually limited to < 200 W due to the simple design.
