ISCO, Inc., was founded in 1958, and since its inception has been headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA. Through our focus on designing and building products to meet specialized custo​​mer needs, the company grew from founder Dr. Robert Allington's garage into its current 200,000 square foot plant. In June of 2004, Isco was acquired by Teledyne Technologies, Inc., becoming Teledyne ISCO and beginning a new chapter in the company's story. Today, Teledyne ISCO manufactures a wide range of products for professionals working in water pollution monitoring and abatement, engineers and managers involved with wastewater process control, and scientists involved in field and laboratory work. We have always taken pride in the fact that the products we produce are used by our customers to improve the quality of life on Earth.   • Liquid Level Actuator

    1640 - Teledyne ISCO

    Trigger your sampler based on liquid level in the stream or reservoirThe 1640 Liquid Level Actuator provides a simple, reliable way to trigger a Teledyne ISCO sampler to begin a sampling routine when the liquid level reaches a predetermined height. The 1640 comprises a conductivity probe that mounts above the stream, a control box that mounts on the sampler, and connecting cable. It can be used in conjunction with other devices such as a rain gauge or flow meter to trigger sampling on multiple conditions. With the control switch set to LATCH, the 1640 will actuate the sampler when the liquid rises to the probe assembly, and the sampler remains actuated when the liquid level recedes. In TOGGLE/RESET mode, the 1640 actuates the sampler only while​​ the liquid is touching the probe, and sampling is suspended if the liquid level recedes.

    Teledyne ISCO HLf-Series pumps give you the same accurate, predictable flow and pressure control as our standard D-Series, while conforming to safety standards for use in UL Class I, Division 2, Groups A B C & D, T4 environments. The hazardous location rating is achieved through internal design modifications including the use of brushless DC motors. This approach eliminates the need for purge boxes or other additional safety devices. Wetted materials are compat​ible with most aqueous and organic liquids, corrosive solutions, heated fluids, liquefied gases, viscous fluids, or slurries and pastes. If needed, optional materials such as Hastelloy C-276 are available on request. The HLf controller has a keypad and LCD, as well as built-in and optional interfaces for computer control and other devices. Programming is easy and flexible, with instant access to menu screens even when the pump is running. This allows you to change operating parameters on the fly.

    RediSep Gold®​ Amine columns can be used in either normal or reversed phase for the purification of compounds with basic properties. Purification on high-performance amine-functionalized silica eliminates the need to add a mobile phase modifier such as triethylamine as it is often done for purification on normal phase silica, and thus reduces the time required to remove solvent from purified fractions. This smaller, spherical media outperforms standard Flash-grade Amine media.​

  • Area Velocity Module

    2150 - Teledyne ISCO

    The 2150 Flow Module uses continuous wave Doppler technology to measure mean velocity. The sensor transmits a continuous ultrasonic wave, then measures the frequency shift of returned echoes reflected by air bubbles or particles in the flow. The 2150’s “smart” area velocit​y probe is built on digital electronics, so the analog level is digitized in the sensor itself to overcome electromagnetic interference. The probe is also factory-calibrated for 10-foot (3 meter) span at different temperatures. This built-in calibration eliminates drift in the level signal, providing long-term level stability that reduces recalibration frequency and completely eliminates span recalibration. In field use, the 2150 is typically powered either by two alkaline, or Teledyne ISCO Rechargeable Lead-acid batteries, within a 2191 Battery Module. Highly efficient power management extends battery life up to 15 months at 15-mi​nute data storage intervals. Other power options (including solar) are available.

    The 5800 Refrigerated Sampler is Teledyne ISCO's answer to the rigorous demands of water monitoring. With user-friendly controls and task accommodating features, the 5800 is the only choice for stationary sampling in both municipal and industrial wastewater applications. The controller actively regulates and displays the sample compartment temperature, and logs a 24-hour summary to confirm proper sample cooling. Not only can you download the temperature record with a basic utility program such as Tera Term, you can also view this information on the unit display. ISCO-tough - and environmentally friendly, too. The 5800 Sampler follows the ISCO standard for weather and corrosion resistance. The tough, double-wall LLDPE cabinet shrugs off exposure to weather and harsh environ​ments. It is filled from top to bottom with insulation for efficient temperature control for keeping samples cool in hot, humid conditions and has heaters to keep the samples from freezing in cold conditions. Heat-treated polyester powder coating protects the refrigeration system, additionally evaporator and condenser coils are const​ructed of 316 stainless steel. This ensures long life and reliability in corrosive treatment plant conditions.

    The Signature® flowmeter is designed for open channel flow monitoring applications. It supports flow measurement technologies including bubbler, non-contact laser area velocity, submerged Doppler ultrasonic area velocity, and ultrasonic. The meter can calculate flow using standard open channel level-to-flow and area velocity conversions, as well as user-defined equations, level to area data points, or level to flow data points, depending on the application need.The Signature flowmeter has unique features to verify data integrity. It logs key events such as changes in calibration and power outages to validate data accuracy. Data can be easily reviewed to detect any type of data alteration. With multiple smart interface options and multi-parameter logging (such as pH), the Signature flowmeter provides a common platform for control action, reporting, and communication.Multiple flow technologies are available so you can select the best flow technology for the measurement site and channel conditions. Available technologies are: bubbler, ultrasonic, continuous wave area velocity, and non-contacting LaserFlow® velocity​.

  • Syringe Pump

    500xv - Teledyne ISCO

    The 500xv is able to pump higher viscosity material by reducing the restriction within the pump, specially designed with 3/8” ports at a 45 degree angle. Ball valves are used for automating refill and continuous flow which clear easily.​​The 500xv syringe pump provides precise delivery of high viscosity material up to 204 mL/min. Pulse-less flow is delivered up to 5,000 psi (345 bar) for pumping thick materials. Viscosity can be reduced by heating the pump chamber. A Temperature Control Jacket can be used to raise the temperature above ambient up to 100 ◦C.The High Temperature package allows the ability to heat up to 200 ◦C.The SyriXus controller has backlighted keypad and 4-line LCD display, as well as built-in and optional interfaces for computer control and other devices. Programming is easy and flexible, with instant access to menu screens even when the pump is running. This allows you to change operating parameters on the fly. Control the pump remotely using driver for LabVIEW™ software, in addition to pump controller.The 500xv pump module has a single-ratio drive train with auto-lubricating gears for long life and low maintenance. Special fittings are used to prevent leaks and ensure safety at maximum pressure.​
