The Sharp GP2Y0A21YK0F infrared distance measuring sensor uses a beam of infrared light to reflect off an object to measure its distance. Because it uses triangulation of the beam of light to calculate the distance, it is able to provide consistent and reliable readings which are less sensitive to temperature variation or the object’s reflectivity. The sensor outputs an analog voltage corresponding to the distance of the object, and can easily be read using an inexpensive analog to digital converter (ADC) chip.

LT-PLM Series -
Laser Components IG, Inc.
The precision laser diode module of the LT-PLM series features a precise housing from which the laser beam exits at the very center. This eliminates any beam angle error. The module can be operated without safety eye wear and is therefore suitable for all sorts of alignment tasks: whether machines have to be aligned to each other. the thorn inside a turning lathe needs to be centered. Manufactured by LT Laser Tools GmbH

The Lange Coupler is a four-port interdigitated structure originally developed by Dr. Julius Lange in 1969. They are a common RF/microwave circuit. The coupling is derived from closely spaced transmission lines, such as microstrip lines. With the introduction of Ion Beam Milling, SemiGen’s ability to consistently produce Lange Couplers with lines and spaces as small as 10 microns and controlled to tolerances of +/- 1 micron is a direct result of our anisotropic ion beam etching process.

Micromatter
can be increased by sandwiching a thin layer of boron between two layers of diamond-like carbon. MICROMATTER DLC-B hybrid foils contain between 5% and 10% boron.DLC-B foils have remarkable flexibility, higher tensile strength and hardness. In most applications, their lifetime in particle beams is significantly greater than regular DLC foils. DLC-B foils are recommended for applications that require highest mechanical robustness and improved durability under beam conditions.

W Series -
Bowman
The W Series Micro XRF uses poly-capillary optics to focus the X-ray beam to 7.5 µm FWHM, the world’s smallest beam size for coating thickness analysis using XRF technology. A 150X magnification camera is used to measure features on that scale; it is accompanied by a secondary, low-magnification camera for live-viewing samples and birds-eye macro-view imaging. Bowman’s dual-camera system lets operators see the entire part, click the image to zoom with the high-mag camera, and pinpoint the feature to be programmed and measured.

SABER-NIR -
Teledyne FLIR
The SABER-NIR illuminator provides high-power, near-infrared illumination for use with night vision and I2 imagers. With up to 499mW of adjustable NIR illumination, the SABER-NIR provides unsurpassed beam uniformity for the ultimate capability in feature resolution and target discrimination. Small and lightweight, the battery operated SABER-NIR can be rifle-mounted or handheld. With variable beam divergence and variable intensity from 10mW to 499mW, it can be used for both close quarter, long-range, and precision applications. The SABER-NIR provides a key tool for operators day or night.

The LAT (Laser Analyzing Telescope) is a powerful measuring instrument enabling direct measurement of laser beams or other light sources. The LAT will analyze and display the angular direction of incoming laser beams with resolutions down to 1 micro-radian and accuracy of 1 millidegree (~20 micro-radian).The built-in back Filter Slider allows control of the laser level impinging the detector area. Moreover, a special version will allow angle measurement of cross-like collimated targets to be examined. Results are clearly displayed by the provided software.
