Real Time Digital Filters

Real Time Digital Filters can be used to filter a measured signal in real time. Filter characteristics can be defined by the user to meet the requirements of a specific application. Real-time digital filters are applied in the data conditioning phase. The filters are designed with a graphic design tool and then uploaded to the front-end for real-time calculation. The graphic design tool defines the filter performance vertical axis with a dB scale. The horizontal axis is defined as relative frequency.

The primary function of this Target is for computing Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) evaluation in live scanner fingerprint systems for conformance to Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems (AFIS) image quality requirements. The array is on reflective material measuring 16mm x 16mm with sinusoidal arrays ranging in frequency from 1.0 to 10.0 cycles per mm; with nominal modulation of the sinusoidal areas at 60%. The top and bottom rows are density scales, from 0.20 to 1.20 densities.The SINE M-13-60-FBI Kit consist of two individual components, the SINE M-13-60-1X-RM and the RR1-N-RM Ronchi Ruling grating.

Each symbol is individually calibrated to ANSI X3.182/ISO 15416 standards using a custom built microdensitometer. This high input resistance means that passive probes are the ideal tool for low frequency signals since circuit loading at these frequencies is minimized. Passive probes are designed to handle voltages of at least 400V, some as high as 600V. Teledyne LeCroy passive probes feature an attenuation sense pin which tells the oscilloscope to scale the waveforms automatically requiring no user input.Each passive probe is recommended for a certain oscilloscope, using the right passive probe with the right oscilloscope means that the probe will be properly compensated across the entire bandwidth. Using probes with a different oscilloscope will only let you compensate for low frequencies.

The Type RPD-2 Radio Frequency (RF) Proximity Detector is designed to detect and locate devices that radiate radio waves in the high frequency to low microwave frequency range. Such devices often include surveillance and “spy” equipment. The Type RPD-2, when used with the different sensors, will detect the emanation of the radio wave within a confined area, and then isolate its location to within approximately a square foot. The type RPD-2A may be used as an RF field strength indicator for antenna field strength measurements.
