The FPGA Mezzanine Card is used by Data Patterns to implement signal interface with external world compatible FPGAs mounted on the FMC carrier there are primarily used for high speed analog interface for digitization (ADCs) and waveform generation (DACs). This form factor is also utilized for special I/O Interfaces such as various avionic protocols and buses. FMC I/O signals may be routed via front panel connectors or through Mezzanine connectors that route the signal back to the carrier board for routing through rear I/O of the Chassis. The system interface is designed for routing to FPGAs using a VITA 57 0.05 Pitch Terminal Array Assembly.

The CD280 Carrier Demodulator is a complete multi channel system in a small package which houses a plug-in power supply and 4 carrier demodulator circuit boards. The power supply provides regulated 5 Vac 5 kHz carrier power for Variable Reluctance and LVDT transducers , and the carrier demodulators demodulate and amplify the input signals to a 10 Vdc full-scale output. The M8K429 is an ARINC-429 multi-channel test and simulation module to be used on the Excalibur 8000 family of carrier boards. The module supports up to five ARINC-429 channels in any combination of transmitters and receivers. Each of these channels feature error injection and detection capabilities. The receive channels allow for the storage of all selected Labels with status and time tag information appended to each word. The receivers allow for filtering and multi-storage modes of Data Words. The transmit channels operate via a transmit ‘instruction stack’ which allows scheduling of data transmissions and reduces the need for host computer intervention.The M8K429 comes complete with C-driver software library including the source code.
