The IIB-1553-ISA is an intelligent interface card providing full MIL-STD-1553 test, simulation and bus analysis capability for PC compatible computers, with 1553A, 1553B, McAir and STANAG 3838 variants in one card. The IIB-1553-ISA supports concurrent Bus Controller (BC) and up to 31 Remote Terminals (RT) with Bus Monitor (BM). An additional stand-alone Chronological Bus Monitor (CBM) facility is also provided, with powerful multilevel triggering capability. The board gives test points at each side of the connector and jumper with a easy to use tabbed shunt to allow for easy disconnection of any particular signal between the connectors. The jumpers also give an opportunity to inject a signal regardless of what signal was originally being driven.

Analog inputs are converted to digital and appear on the network as transmit channels. Audio for the analog outputs is taken from subscriptions to transmit channels on the network from other sources. With the MU-Thermocouple1 CAN FD, measurement data from thermocouples are recorded, pre-processed and transmitted with CAN FD. The temperature is measured via 8 connections, which are designed for the temperature measuring ranges J, K or T, depending on the product version. Temperatures can be recorded in Celsius, Fahrenheit or Kelvin and calculated with an individual factor and offset. The measurement data is then transmitted via CAN FD or via classic CAN.
