Mach Airspeed Test Fixture

The TA-6055A is a Mach Airspeed Test Fixture built to support the testing and repair of the 2082 and 2083 series of Servoed Mach Airspeed Indicators (SMASI) used in some Boeing aircraft. These mach airspeeds are synchro driven and require a coarse and fine input for altitude and a third input for airspeed. This test fixture was designed around the test procedure and is interfaced with our TA-1001 panel which provides for two of the synchro sources and two Angle Position Indicators (API).

The AP-501 is a high accuracy, auto-ranging, broad band synchro and resolver angle position indicator. The synchro or resolver angle is displayed on a bright 0.56 inch LED display. The indicator maintains a accuracy up 0.03 degrees even with synchro or resolver phase shifts up to 45 degrees over a frequency range of 47-300 Hz. The 800B301 is a low profile rack mounted synchro/resolver angle position indicator with 360 degree offset capability via front panel thumb wheel switches.

Angle Position On-Axis
The magnetic rotary position sensor product family detects the absolute angular orientation of an on-axis two-pole magnet rotating over the center of the IC. The absolute angular position can be provided in various formats, including PWM, ABI and UVW, or directly read through the host interface. According to the application’s requirements, resolutions from 8-bit up to 14-bit are available. This technology can be employed in high-accuracy angle position detection, high-speed rotation systems and brushless DC motor control. Any rotary magnetic position sensor can replace either absolute or incremental optical sensors, other magnetic and inductive technologies, potentiometers or magnetic switches.
