Giga-snaP™ 0.75, 0.8, 1.0, and 1.27mm pitch BGA Surface Mount Feet Adapter line of products provide an inexpensive and reliable method for attaching BGA chips to target board. The product line consists of patented female sockets with machined pins epoxy over-molded into an assembly that matches a particular BGA pattern. The epoxy over-molded female BGA socket is soldered to a PCB using standard soldering methods. A corresponding male pin BGA adapter, to which the user attaches their BGA chip, is plugged into the female socket on the board thus interconnecting the chip and the system is ready to go. The SMT adapters have the same solder ball types as the chips they are emulating. These adapters have less than half of the insertion force of competitive adapters, shorter electrical path for highest speed, and can be solder reflowed numerous times. SpaceWire is configured using routers to create a heirarchical point-to-point system with high speed parallel paths. PMC SpaceWire implements SpaceWire in a convenient PMC format. With PMC you can install the adapter into PCI [PCIBPMC], cPCI [cPCI2PMC], or processor board pmc slots. The SpaceWire specification calls for LVDS signaling and a specific 9 pin micro-D connector. You can connect the PMC-SpaceWire to other SpaceWire compliant devices without electrical interface issues.

The PCI104 is a PCIe carrier for PCI Mezzanine Cards (PMC) or Processor PCI Mezzanine Cards (PrPMC). The PCI104 carrier allows simplified testing of PMC/PrPMCs and their associated PMC I/O Modules (PIMs) by using a PC environment during board development or deployment. The PCI104 can also reduce the costs of manufacturing PMC/PrPMCs by allowing manufacturers to use off-the-shelf PCs for functional testing. The PCI104 converts the PCIe x4 edge connection to PCI-X via a PCIe to PCI-X bridge. The trace lengths to the PMC/PrPMCare kept to a minimum so the PMC/PrPMC can run with a133MHz PCI-X clock speed. The J4 connector of the installed PMC/PrPMC is routed to a 96-pin DIN connector per theVITA-35 specification. The PCIe to PCI-X bridge can run in either transparent or non-transparent mode and can also operate in forward or reverse mode. The PCI104 has a fan mounted on the board to cool the PMC/PrPMC. The fan can easily be removed for testing and probing of hosted card.
