Two Axis Differential Interferometer
10721A
The Keysight 10721A Two Axis Differential Interferometer, when used in multiple axis applications, simultaneously makes two differential measurements linear and angular (yaw) displacement. Both measurements reference external mirror mounted to an object such as a column or inspection tool. The 10721A provides high immunity to unwanted interferometer displacement, such as thermal expansion. It is a modular, compact design with monolithic optics for maximized mechanical stability. Use of a small 3 mm beam helps decrease Abb offset error. The 10721A is similar to the 10719A Single Axis Differential Interferometer, except that it provides an additional measurement axis.

Optical microscopy (OM)

Optical microscopy is used to display the surface morphology of samples by 2D intensity contrast due to deflection and reflection of visible light shined on areas of interest. Its resolution is about half of the incident wavelength, which is ~0.2 μm for visible light (wavelength of 400-700 nm). Such resolution limits the maximum magnification to X1000, and thus optical microscopy provides preliminary inspection of sample surface structure.

Current Mirrors
Analog Devices current mirrors are precision, high dynamic range, wide variable supply parts used for optical power monitoring, voltage biasing with current monitoring, and voltage-to-current conversion. Our current mirrors can monitor current down to as little as 3 nA and as much as 3 mA, with a linearity of 1% or better. The current dynamic range is 120 dB or 6 decades of current range, while the overcurrent protection feature in our devices forces the input pin to ground to avoid part damage. Over temperature (–40°C to +85°C) and process, the dynamic range only suffers 10 dB at the lower end of the range.
