The 40-780B-553-E (PXI) and 42-780B-553-E (PXIe) are triple SPDT 50GHz unterminated microwave relay modules with remotely mounted relays. The 40/42-780B range is available with one, two, three or four SPDT panel mounted relays capable of switching frequencies up to 67GHz in 50Ω or 2.5GHz in 75Ω. Connections are made via high quality RF coaxial connectors, SMA or N-Type for 50Ω and 1.6/5.6 in 75Ω versions. Remote versions can support up to three SPDT relays in a single slot.

The Keysight 8491B coaxial fixed attenuator provides precision attenuation, flat frequency response and low SWR over broad frequency ranges. The attenuator is available in nominal attenuations of 3 dB and 6 dB, as well as 10 dB increments from 10 dB to 60 dB. It has type-N connectors with a maximum frequency of 18 GHz. This attenuator is swept-frequency tested to ensure specification compliance at all frequencies. Calibration points are provided on a nameplate chart attached to each unit.

The eBIRST toolset consists of three different tools that support 200-pin LFH, 78-pin and 50-pin connectors and a set of adaptors that allow connection to other connector types. A supplied application program controls the eBIRST tools via a USB2 port that also provides the tool power and controls the switching system using a Test Definition File to define the test sequence.
