The G Series’ two most distinctive features are precision video imaging, and “bottom-up” measurement using a motorized Z-axis with laser-based auto-focus. The latter is a feature unique to Bowman. An available manual XY stage with 1.5 X 1.5” travel facilitates easy positioning of small and large parts. The chamber is relatively small when compared to other models like the B Series. The smaller chamber and footprint is well suited for jewelry and other precious metal analysis applications, and components such as connectors and fasteners.

Based on our OTP² system platform, we were able to implement a family of scalable test systems which is based on a common systems architecture, e. g. for products in the area of chemical analytics measurement. We not only implemented a universal, extremely comprehensive test system, but also a series of compact systems for benchtop placement which are fully compatible with the larger, universal system. Our specialized self-test adapters and test software enable fast verification of the test systems as well as partly automated calibration by the customer.Our systems are also used in electrical measurement applications, e. g. for calibrating analog input assemblies for PLC technology. For this purpose, specialized calibrators are integrated into the system; they provide traceable calibration of the relevant stimulus signals.

The Sinusoidal Visual Demonstration Array is designed to demonstrate the Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) of the human eye. Its transmittance varies sinusoidally and increases in spatial frequency from 0.2 to 20 c/mm, following a logrithmic scale. The modulation increases linearly from top to bottom. One can see, in the image, where the visual contrast contour disappears which is the MTF of the eye.
