    The R&S®ATS1500C radar test chamber is a compact antenna test range (CATR), consisting of a gold-plated parabolic reflector and a two-axis positioner for 3D movements of the radar module. Combined with the R&S®AREG800A target simulator and other Rohde & Schwarz test and measuring instruments, it can be used for a variety of applications, including antenna characterization, module calibration, RF performance validation, interference testing or in-band compliance testing. The chamber is equipped with a universal feed antenna which gives access to both polarizations in parallel. Automated temperature testing over the range of -40 to 85°C is possible with an optional enclosure.

    Shielding effectiveness testing determines the ability of material to reduce the electromagnetic field in a space by blocking the field with barriers made of conductive and/or magnetic materials. Shielding effectiveness testing can be applied to a broad range of radio frequencies. Electromagnetic Shielding is typically applied to both enclosures and cables. The shielding can reduce the coupling or radio waves, electromagnetic fields and electrostatic fields. The amount of reduction can vary based on the material used, its thickness, the size of the shielded volume and the frequency of the fields of interest. Also impacting the effectiveness of the shielding is the size, shape and orientation or apertures in a shield to an incident electromagnetic field. Electromagnetic shielding that blocks radio frequency electromagnetic radiation is also known as RF Shielding.

    A SafeBloc is an accessory device, which can be used with other test equipment, as an adapter, to connect and test power cords and wiring harnesses for production testing purposes, prior to installation into equipment. Such testing would include Hipot and continuity testing of the power cord or wiring harness. The SafeBloc allows the bare wires of a power cord or wiring harness to be connected to the test equipment via clips inside the enclosure. Power can only flow through the device once it is closed and the test sequence is then started, ensuring that the test operator will not get shocked during the testing procedure. Power cord manufacturers and CEMs manufacturing custom wiring harnesses would be typical users of such a device.

    The MTS-209 is a state-of-the-art portable test set for various armament systems used on the F-16, F-15, F-18, TA-50, FA-50 and additional aircraft. These panels have a flame spread of 20 minutes or less as rated by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. The panels are joined by specifically designed framing members that clamp the edges of the panels and provide constant, low impedance joints with the shielding elements of the chamber.
