Featured are an integral variable reluctance transducer, solid state electronics module, 3 digit liquid crystal display (LCD)* and battery pack with six 1.5V penlight cells for truly portable operation. The units can also be powered from an external DC power supply or AC battery eliminator (converter) module. The transducer features all corrosion resistant materials in contact with the pressure media (both ports in differential units), very low internal cavity volumes and ultra-low volumetric displacement with full-scale pressure excursion. Transducer calibration is unaffected by dielectric properties of the sensed fluid. Gauge and differential transducers may be disassembled and range changed by simple diaphragm replacement.

This is a 144-bit full-size card. A Programmable Peripheral Interface chip, type 8255-5 provides three 8-bit ports (A, B, and C) for each 24-bit group. Each port can be independently programmed for either input or output. Port C can also be configured as two 4-bit ports. These cards fully implement Mode 0 of the 8255 PPI chip. (Consult the factory if you desire to operate in Mode 1.) Type LS245 bi-directional transceivers sink 24 mA (optionally 64 mA) and source 15 mA. These transceiver buffers provide hysteresis correction on inputs and added drive capability on outputs. The direction of the transceivers is set by software.

The Smart Range function is one of the most important new features added to the 66205 power meter. Smart Range allows the power integration mode to perform active power measurements with the measurement range in auto mode. Chroma’s proprietary design automatically selects the appropriate range, based on changes in sensed voltage and current, ensures the best accuracy when integrating the measurements over time. The 66205 provides 10 selectable current measurement ranges from 5mA up to 30A. External sensor options A662017~A662020 are available to increase the current measurement range.
