The XRP6124 is a non synchronous step down (buck) controller for up to 5A point of loads. A wide 3V to 30V input voltage range allows for single supply operations from industry standard 3.3V, 5V, 12V and 24V power rails. With a proprietary Constant On-Time (COT) control scheme, the XRP6124 provides extremely fast line and load transient response while the operating frequency remains nearly constant. It requires no loop compensation hence simplifying circuit implementation and reducing overall component count. Video Distribution Amplifiers (sometimes called a video splitter – not to be confused with a video split screen controller such as our PXD510E split screen controller) are typically used for connecting a camera or other video source to several monitors that do not have “looping” inputs. In this situation, each monitor has a permanent 75 ohm termination. With two non-looping monitors connected together, the line would be double loaded and result in a dim picture on each monitor. Using a Video Distribution Amplifier will solve this problem by driving each monitor individually at 100%.The second application is when the video signal is run over distances greater than 50 feet. The coaxial cable has a fair amount of signal loss over long distances.
